Apprehensive of buying this. Last LG LED Projector conked off after two years
The 20000/30000 hours lamp life is a joke. Had the LG450U. Totally loved it. Was contemplating an upgrade to this one. It ticks all my requirements. Am sure this would have been a perceptible and significant improvement over the earlier 720p 450 lumens LG450. That one stopped working suddenly after two years. It turned out that it would be an achievement to find the motherboard identified as the problem and the consensus was that even if one somehow did, it would be pretty close to the price of the projector itself. It seems if these guys go bad, there is no salvaging them. Have come across multiple reviews mentioning similar experiences. So much as I would love to have this and but for the disappointment getting this was a no brainer, cannot afford to take chances. So a five star rating gets pulled down to a 1 / 2.

Lg doesn't give home service for projectos.
I had bought a lg ph500 minibeam projector, and it ran into lamp issues within three years tough they mention 30000 lamp hours and biggest problem with lG is that it doesn't provide you home service for projectors. So you have to physically visit one of the center's which is located in only one corner of the city like Mumbai.Lg can give home service for TV which is much cheaper than projector. Very dissapointed by the response given by service team
