1000% WORTH IT!!! It definitely works for more than just regular pain
I couldn’t believe how much this actually works. Also it works just as good as the lotion works because I’ve had rupturing cyst on my ovary constantly over the last few days and even taking pain medication hasn’t helped entirely without using this with it. I know that sounds crazy because you would think a rupturing cyst in the abdomen wouldn’t be helped by something like this when it comes to having Endometriosis but it actually does help. No nothing is 100 when it comes to pain especially pain like us women deal with. I can tell you right now it is so much better with it versus without it. It stayed on with no problems. I even had to take it off and apply it to move it over just a little bit on my lower abdomen and it stayed for 13 and a half hours when I got ready to take it off to put another one on it was still on there and I had to peel it off slowly because the stickiness was so good still after all that time. I couldn’t believe it even after sleeping and everything. It was still stuck on their good. One thing I did make sure that I did was I made sure of the area that I was gonna put it on was wiped really good with a baby wipe just you know make sure there’s no lotion or anything on your skin from getting out of the shower otherwise that will prevent it from sticking for sure. This is the best of the best I mean that with everything I have. I also had a heating pad on my abdomen with it and it was fine. I’m very thankful for it and I’m about to order two more packs. This is actually my second pack in the last 10 days.

Good cheap relief but there are better alternatives
Pros: - slightly less expensive than Salon Pas, slightly bigger (maybe half an inch per side) - much less expensive than prescription pads - good relief for me over time- don't expect to slap the patch on and have your pain disappear; The patch takes awhile to become effective. Cons: - these patches do not stay effective as long as prescription patches or Salon Pas. I'd say max effect lasts approx 4-6 hours and then diminishes - flimsy construction. They are very thin and the adhesive is not as sticky as either the Salon Pas or prescription patches. Not for use when active unless you enjoy having to smooth it over to make it stick again every few minutes. - seems like effectiveness varies from person to person. Some get relief from the Lidocaine patch, some do not. I think some of those who claim no relief are actually not realizing they take awhile to become effective, but that's conjecture on my part. - one can make one's back problem worse by numbing it and then sleeping in an awkward position or doing heavy work with a patch in place. Bottom line: for this reviewer, the Salon Pas lidocaine patch offers better value because it stays on better and lasts somewhat longer.

Revised product is GREAT! No odor!
I had been using another brand from a pharmacy chain. I tried the Aspercreme patch, again, and was very impressed with a few new revisions. These revisions have improved my impression of this product. The individual patches are a bit stretchy. The backing has a perforated line down the middle with instructions to stretch the product by holding each end so the perforation splits the backing into two pieces. Take the corner of backing and remove one of the sides. I place the patch at this point. One adhered, I remove the 2nd half of the backing, which gives me the best results. If you aren’t very careful, you can easily end up with wrinkles in the patch where the patch sticks to itself and reduces the surface area of the patch against your skin,...which means less active ingredients being absorbed. The improvements that I noticed were the thinner dimension of the patch. I noticed the logo and name “embossed” onto the non-active side of the patch. Also, I’m not sure, but if the patch had the traditional aspercreme fragrance before, it does NOT have it now. This current patch is absolutely fragrance free. Along that same theme, if the patch had the traditional warming experience before, this newer patch does NOT, which is something the majority of patches don’t have either. There are plenty of warming crepes out there. As a user of lidocaine patches, I want reduction in pain, no odor, no cooling or heating sensation, no oily residue, or any other sign that a patch is being used. I’m delighted with the revisions. I will be purchasing again. They are great!

Absolutely better than prescription brands!
Better than some Lidocaine prescription patches ! Why? They go on easily and stay put, they don't slide around your body on their own, get stuck to your clothes and roll up or down, they are much thinner than Lidoderm so there is less sweating and discomfort and are unnoticeable beneath clothing when placed in obvious areas such as the shoulder or chest area, they are much easier to cut when they are still in their package and they don't gum up your scissors, the pain relief lasts practically until the next day, the backing pulls off easily and does not make your fingers gooey and gummy, I'm reiterating they do not stick to your clothes or slide around because that has been one of the biggest problems I have found with each of the generic brands of liododerm and the new liododerm patches they began making approximately 4 or 5 years ago when the original Lidoderm patch company stopped making them and sent their production overseas. Finally, although they are not covered by prescription that I know of, they are covered by your FHA accounts if you have one and are much cheaper than any lightoderm brand. They also come in several sizes. The only downfall I can find is that they don't come in bulk such as a box of 30 which would be a welcome advantage especially if it could be offered at a discounted rate. Perhaps one day we'll see them in Costco or bj's!
