Q: What's the difference between Magnesium and Magnesium Citrate??

Magnesium Citrate and magnesium glycinate have equal bio-availability. Taking more than 150 Mg of magnesium citrate per day (36% of RDA) is not recommended because of the potential of this form of magnesium to cause diarrhea. Additionally, most magnesium citrate uses citrate from mold grown on corn. For the record, most people allergic to peanuts are actually allergic to the mold that is common on peanuts, and most people allergic to strawberries are actually allergic to the mold commonly on strawberries. If you do not have any mold allergies, taking one of these capsules per day (providing 32% of RDA) to prevent constipation should be safe. It is safe to take larger amounts of magnesium glycinate, which is the most highly recommended for constipation and anxiety issues resulting in insomnia. 400 Mg of magnesium glycinate provides 96% of the RDA of magnesium. Magnesium malate provides 18% of RDA for 500 Mg. It is the best form of magnesium for energy metabolism. Typically, a person taking magnesium malate would take 1500 Mg of magnesium malate, providing 54% of RDA. Magnesium taurate is best for heart and brain health, including migraines. With magnesium taurate 1500 Mg provides less than 29% of RDA. Magnesium oxide is about 4% bio-available. This is about half the bio-availability of magnesium taurate, and the recommended dosage of magnesium oxide is only 500 Mg.

Q: How big are the pills? Trying to find something my 13 year old can swallow, she isn't able to swallow large pills.

I canʻt swallow big pills either, but these are CAPSULES, which makes them easier to swallow. The caps are a little under 3/4 inch long. I wouldnʻt be able to swallow a pill that big, but again, the capsule makes it easier because they are softer and more pliable.

Q: Price just went up from $7.99 to $11.99 - a 50% increase??? For real?

It went back to $7.99 as an add-on item/$35&up free thing... you might want to grab more than 1 bottle (and store them somewhere cool) just in case (or they sell this at health stores too--it's $8.50 at my grocer/main place for most things but my co-op has a super relationship w/NOW so they get it for less than even Super Supplements :))

feel much better after taking them

I have many health problem, always tired, muscle hurt, and stress from kids all day. Doctor say maybe low magnesium. I try this one from NOW and it help me a lot. I take 2 capsule every night and I sleep better, no cramp in legs, feel more calm.It easy to swallow and no bad taste. My stomach is sensitive but this one not hurt me.
