I used this filter to replace the original one in the back of my fridge. As expected for an OEM product it was a perfect fit and identical to the original shipped with the refrigerator. The filter was quite a bit more expensive than off-brand options but this refrigerator was $$$$ and this didn't seem like the place to save money. Two things to note; It contains mercury and should be handled and disposed of properly. Also, the first one I ordered arrived damaged - very dusty and little rocks loose in the package. The filter will make a rattle sound when you shake it (don't know why you would ... but if you do). However, nothing should be coming out of it!

Easy to install and works great. Keeps my Sub-Zero fresh!!

This is the absolute worst designed item I've ever purchased in my life. It's supposed to improve the quality of the air in your fridge, but WARNING....it contains neurotoxic MERCURY. And when you receive it, it appears to have bits of broken glass all over the outside, and if you move it, it rattles like everything inside has broken to bits. But supposedly the rattling is a normal part of the design? That isn't all at clear. Of course, all you can think is....has the rattling broken glass that I'm seeing and hearing released toxic MERCURY into my home...onto my hands? Why TF would Subzero design a filter with MERCURY, which also rattles like it's shattered inside, is beyond me. I mean, it's for some UV lamp which I'm sure performs some function, but just make a less effective filter without the MERCURY. I don't know how to dispose of my old one, because it's considered toxic waste and rightly prohibited from municipal trash, and I'm doubly concerned about installing this "broken glass" new one, potentially leaking MERCURY into my fridge...where I keep food....that my family and I plan to consume. Come on, Subzero, this is beyond ridiculous!!!

It's kinda expensive, but the original one, that came with the fridge, lasted for years before it stopped keeping the inside of the fridge odor free.

It was the correct item apparently as it fit in my SubZero and looked like the one I replaced.
