Superior quality and craftsmanship
These are the real deal-not your big box knock offs. The quality and the finish of the wood and trim is top notch. These added the look and feel of a custom installation from a do it yourselfer.

Perfect product for easy updating.
This was the exact item we needed to update our 1994 stairs with minimal effort. Well made and easy to install. Wood was beautiful, would be very pretty stained.

Best value, well constructed and solid
This deserves a good rating. Less than half the price of the orange depot unfinished posts. This is solid red oak. No veneers. You will need to sand, stain, and seal it. The bottom section is longer than needed an can be cut to fit your project. It is hollow with a solid oak block that attaches to the floor oor stair tread. The post fits over this block. Mine is a little loose with 3/16 gap beteen the inside of the post and the block. I will add a lot of contruction glue so it will not be a problem. I coul build it better, but it would take me weeks. And then noone will see the difference. This is the best value for money.

Solid, straight, minimal finish effort.
I was afraid the two posts I ordered would arrived beaten and banged up from shipment, not so! A little work to smooth the corners but relatively little work to clean, sand and stain. Very happy.

Solid Oak Post. I’m very pleased.
This post is as good as you can get. Don’t listen to that one review where that guy has no clue as to what he’s talking about. He complained that it’s hollow. They ALL are. This one is solid oak wood no filler. It’s hollow so you can set it with the center stump and the post slides over it. Great product and a Lot cheaper than Lowe’s that wants $450 foe ONE Post!

Well made and finish-ready
This newel post is well made from oak. The base is hollow, in order to accept the solid oak plug that it ships with for mounting purposes. I’m picky about items like this, because my own craftsmanship matters to me. I wouldn’t want to use something that isn’t of high quality or subpar fit and finish. This item satisfies me on both counts.

So very happy with my purchase!
It turned out absolutely gorgeous! Good material, beautiful grain and quick delivery. My contractor was originally going to make a newel post but I wanted something with more definition. When this newel post came in the mail he was very impressed with it and had me send him the link so he could purchase for other homes.
