Excellent "stain" for craft projects
I used this to "stain" wooden dowels for a rustic wedding project. It worked terrific! Went on easy using cheesecloth and the color effect turned out super. And the clean up-EXCELLENT! It's water based so no mineral spirits needed. Highly recommend 👍👍

I feel like this color made my project too dark.

Shortage of this product, you can change the hue
Without saying this product is amazing and makes you look like an expert painter . There has been a shortage of this product everywhere, I’m not sure why . The nutmeg that is available is not the hue most of us are going for . It’s an it’s an orangey brown .but here is a secret I should keep to myself ! You can use the nutmeg and add a couple drops of black or grey chalk paint ( I didn’t try regular paint ) and get the same darker brown most of us desire in the other colors. You may need to work slightly faster so the color doesn’t stick, but it works essentially the same . On this frame I used the nutmeg mixed with alittle black chalk color . Here is another tip . If you want your white to stay white , but just have crevices of antiquing … after dry clothing use a slightly damp Cloth on the areas you want whiter , and it lifts that beige white color . It takes practice and sometimes multiple tries . Dry cloth after wet clothing to make it look smooth . Sometimes you have to go back n fill in the cracks n do it again .. but that’s the beauty of this product , it allows you to do it again n again till you get it right , as long as you use a damp cloth . Why is there a shortage worldwide of the cocoa bean and bucket colors ? I hope they don’t stop making this product , I’ve been in love with it for decades .
