Immortal Axes: Guitars That Rock

I’ve seen this book described as a ‘coffee table book’ but it is so much more than that. For very little money this book is large, heavy and glossy! Such wonderful quality. Lisa is so passionate about her subject and the pages are fulled with wonderful photo’s of amazing guitars often accompanied by incredible stories and history. Anyone who has an interest in guitars and music HAS to buy this book.

Fabulous book for a guitar/music expert

I have been awaiting the release of this book for months following on from 108 Guitars Lisa S Johnson first book. This is a wonderful item and covers many players and details of their guitars a great read and a lovely presented book a must for your collection worth the money..very very pleased with it!

Where’s Eddie? Good book but can’t believe Eddie Van Halen not in it!

The book arrived today. Its a beautiful book, pictures and print quality are amazing. But the STICKER on the FRONT COVER is totally unacceptable. It 100% ruins my book. I’m very disappointed. I’m not sure who’s to blame here, but someone should be fired.

“Iconic” is so overused, but here it’s not. From Nancy Wilson’s Silver Trophy to Jimmy Page’s two-headed beast, the battle-scarred warhorses of blues, country, jazz and rock and roll are shot in stunning detail. One feels they are in the room gazing upon Peter Frampton’s Black Les Paul Custom, or Keith Richards’ and Jeff Becks’ Fender Esquires. “Every picture tells a story,” Rod Stewart once sang, and the backstories behind these guitars and their scars are bittersweet. So many owned, loved, and played by those who left an indelible imprint, and then left us far too soon.

From Elvis to B.B. to Buddy to Chet to Lennon to Malcolm to Jimi to Dimebag to Eric to Glen to Merle to Paul to Pete to Suzi to Jeff, the list goes on and on. Lisa is my good friend who I met in grade 2. She was empathetic and fun from that very young age to this day. Her life is dedicated to "love and service" which can easily be seen in this book that is an extension of her incredible soul. A kinder, more caring person you will never find and those honorable traits come through her lens onto the page in this amazing book.

Love this book! I would have loved to seen a few more of my guitar hero’s axes. What a wonderful array of guitars and their owners. I recommend this book to all guitarists, collectors and musicians! I made sure though that I was ordering a new book and not used, but it came in a postal bag and got damaged, but I’m not a book collector so it doesn’t bother me much.

Awesome coffee table book. Nice size too.
