I have a craftsman plastic tool like this with a simple dial for 40 years and it’s just fine. Don’t bad mouth plastic. In the gentle hands of a careful owner, it has continued to serve its purpose 100%. Once you own one of these, you really come to appreciate it. I take care of my tools!! This one adds a digital display and it really works well. As accurate as I can measure. If it doesn’t fail, value for money is excellent. I’ll update if necessary.

Does the job I needed it for and seems reasonably well made, especially considering the price. It comes with a battery already installed and all you need to do is pull out a protective strip to activate the unit's battery. It also comes with a spare battery which is a nice touch. Nice feature is an automatic on function as soon as you start to slide the caliper to take a measurement. And it has an OFF button so you can shut it off to save battery when not in use.

It's cheap, which is good and bad, because you get what you pay for. For under $10 though, I don't know if you can really beat the price. As far as precision, it only gets down to tenths of a millimeter and not hundredths or thousandths like a nicer set of calipers, but you'll likely be spending at least 5x-10x the price for that. Works for simple jobs that don't require super high precision.

This is a good replacement for the one that has quit working, it's the same brand that I already had just another color and the battery is a 2032 button size which is better than the other one, easy to use and read

This electronic caliper is great quality, is light weight, has a digital display and if the battery dies, also has a printed display. The battery life will last a very long time. Great for jewelers.

Great for speakers or anything else you don’t need it to be super strong, if you’re working on stuff all the time get a metal one!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: For casual use, these are great! Low price enables me to have them everywhere in the house where measuring is done. Given the low price, I don’t need to worry about them being abused as a would with my machinist calipers.

Bought for measuring when modeling parts for 3D printing but had to put it on hold - overall used once in March of 2023 and then was left in a clean, smooth operated Huskey drawer toolchest with smooth open/close. Pulled it out a few days ago, needed to take accurate measurements, and it was dead! Ok, I thought no big deal - probably batteries. Ordered some batteries, got here in a couple of days. Popped those in. Mind you the plastic battery holder takes some force to pull out and it breaks a little each time so it wont last many battery changes. Anyway, batteries are in! But it still wont turn on! Spend a little more and get something else, this is not one of those cheap quality items.
