This pump is very quite. There is no on/off switch on the unit so for safety you should plug into a GFI switch controlled circuit. It appears to be built very well. You will need to buy filter sand for it but everything else you need is included (expect GFI circuit)If you watch the video on their web site you will see it is easy to put together. Even without the video it's not hard to figure out. I've only been running it for a few hours now so I don't know how well it will clean. Other reviews say it does a good job. For the price I would say it is about the best pump you can get.

This pump has made my life so much easier. No more buying those small filters that these pools come with . The sand filters are the way to go. It fit the pool perfectly. We have a 15feet x 42 pool . Putting it together was easy and it durable. My husband said it was the best investment ever! We highly recommend.

Advertised as a 3/4 HP motor. When received motor name plate says .45 thp.Thp and true HP are not the same. Nameplate motor amps are 3.6. An industrial motor rated 1hp will draw about 12 amps. A 1/2 HP motor will draw at 110 volts will draw about 6 amps. You can see my my issue with misleading advertising. Being an electrical engineer working daily with motors and VFDs, I hate when they use thp ratings, because who wants .4 service factor when calculating HP. Industrial motors are standard with 1.15 service factor. Google it!

Pump made quick work of clearing my above ground pool. My only regret is not going with a stronger pump but was a huge improvement to the stock pump that was included with the above ground pool.

A little difficult to set up but not too hard, just follow the video tutorial attached to the product. Leaks some but I bought additional clamps to help with that. Works good for the price of the product.

Ditch the pumps that come with your above ground pool. This saves so much hassle! Highly recommend.

Better than expected. Very quiet.

Easy to hook up. We bought what we thought (should have been considered) was an oversized pump for our 15' above ground round pool. It's not very strong at all. It moves water around but not any different than the $50 little cannister cheap pump we replaced with it. I wish we would have gone bigger. When this one wears out we will. But it was a super easy install that I did myself in about 15min. Directions were clear and easy to follow. Surprised my husband by having it done before he got home.
