8" Forged Steel Hog Ring Plier

I was concerned that this would not work well with 9 gauge staples but these pliers sets them perfectly. These pliers seem well made but most importantly works well with the Malco 1 7/16" staples.

Only works on large rings does not crimp closed handles meet way too early to close rings properly. Built sturdy but doesn’t work on sized hog rings only large . I am going to keep them and try to modify them to work because they are sturdy

Overall worked well for fencing. About 10% of the time, the ring would not close properly and require adjusting to fix it securely. Changing the depth of the inside surface for the rings may improve it.

These are sturdy and did what I needed. I built four large gabion boxes and used like 200 hog rings to hold them together. They held up.

Sadly this is a terrible design as the way the handles are shaped they don’t allow anything other than a 1.5” hog ring to be tightly fastened. Many mention this issue and I wish I would have read them before buying. It’s sad because it’s a well made wonderfully priced item.

Great quality and sturdy pliers, just too big for my seat cover project. would not work on 1/2 rings

These are very well made pliers- much better quality than I expected for the price. I used them on one fenceline and they worked out great. A tool like this would be like $40 at most big box building stores...
