Pretty damn good.
It smells exactly like Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix. Which smells good but I don't pick up any caramel at all otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Still GBS has really good products especially for the price. I've been using everything from from their shampoo to conditioner to oil to balm and my beard has never been softer.
