Flexible display, good resolution
I installed this on an early 2000’s car that I drive almost daily. The install was pretty simple for anyone who’s installed the head deck before. Make sure you get the right wire harnesses and you’re ready to run a few wires for your back up cam and mic assuming you choose to install them. It’s been at least over a year since I installed this head deck and I have not had any problems. CarPlay works well, the resolution is fine as well. There is a bit of lag when swiping through menus but not enough to be a dealbreaker and certainly not enough for me to lower my rating. With this unit being a single DIN that effectively becomes an adjustable double DIN I With this unit being a single DIN that effectively transforms into an adjustable double DIN, I would say it’s definitely worth the investment. Considering that the head unit protrudes past the console, it’s crucial to carefully consider whether your car is compatible.

Works great and sounds great!
I installed this in my 2004 Corvette to replace the 1990 era radio that was from the factory. The unit is very nice. The head unit goes in the dash, and the display snaps into it.Android auto was my main reason for getting this and it works great.I also wanted a physical volume dial as my car does not have steering wheel controls and I did not want to have to fuss with finding the volume on the screen while driving. I can just reach for the dial instead.I was worried it might interfere with my gear shift, but the adjustability made it easy to position correctly.Sound quality has been great so far. Between the equalizer and balance/fade controls, I am able to get great sound in my car.I used a NATIKA backup camera and it connected with no issues. Some people complain that it is too bright, especially at night, and it is. I found the work around was to set it to Dark mode always.I do find it is very hard to see the display with my polarized sunglasses.Over all, it is a great addition to my car!

Worth the money and easy to use
It’s been a couple of months now since I installed it myself in my 03 ram 1500. Pretty easy to use and has good audio settings such as the Loudness and the EQ and also the SLA adjuster. The Bluetooth connects fast but every now and then When I plug in my I Phone for the Car Play I have to un plug it then plug it again because it didn’t connect. I’ve gone on long drives playing the system loud and the screen doesn’t get hit if anything it gets a little warm. The screen is bright at night but it’s expected because I have the 9 inch screen. I might but another one for my other old C10 truck honestly.

Easy Peasy Install, Sounds and Looks Great!
I haven’t installed a car stereo in decades. Maybe a quarter century, even! Ended up being pretty simple. The 2009 Tahoe had an aftermarket stereo installed about 11 years ago. At the time, it was an Alpine 1U unit and the whole thing installed was $700+. Over time, the unit remained fine but technology had moved on. I really wanted to be able to connect my phone via BT and stream music. The Alpine, having no Bluetooth, meant an after-aftermarket Bluetooth dongle jacked into the Alpine’s rear-panel USB port. Sadly, the setup never worked exceedingly well, forcing me to hard-reboot the Alpine regularly to get BT running. What a pain.Time to stop with the hard reboots! 😹 I check out things online, want a screen, but not take up more than the 1U space reserved. This unit fit the bill just fine - ordered it with the 9” display. The original aftermarket receiver install used some PAC modules to interface the receiver with the steering wheel controls and other truck features. Hoped that changing the receiver wasn’t going to also force me to buy all new interface modules. The hardest thing was identifying the existing wire colors, making sure that this unit had the same setup, and then cutting out the old aftermarket harness and splicing in the new radio’s harness. Took maybe 45 min. Adjusted the PAC SWC-1 for Boss, and bam! it all worked fine.Great sound quality, excellent price, and a huge display. Definitely would recommend!!!

It is true, you get what you pay for.
I read through so many of the reviews of this product and ultimately bit the bullet and purchased it. I was hoping I wouldn't get a "faulty" one and maybe the ones who submitted poor reviews had defective ones since the 4 stars and above reviews still outweighed the negative ones. I will say literally the day after getting it installed it would cut off and pop back on quickly. Then the following days while using android auto especially on a longer trip of 1 hour or more it would completely restart with the screen staying black for a good 20 seconds and then reboot totally. The quick glitch wasn't too bad and a minor annoyance I was willing to deal with for the price, but the total reboot is quite frustrating especially when you are using navigation and need to know your next step in directions. The audio store that installed it suggested I do a hard reset at the bottom of the unit where there is a small pinhole opening to push. Haven't tried it yet but I am hoping it will fix the issue. I can only hope that if its an issue with just the screen itself and I end up having to contact BOSS about the warranty that they will just send me a new screen and not need the entire unit back because I do not want to pay to have it uninstalled and then reinstalled again. Definitely would now be worth the value and "bang for your buck" in that case!

Too bright for night driving
I've owned this radio for 3 years, the main reason it's getting only a 1 is the thing is too bright even when turned down all the way, night mode just makes things black but still too bright, I usually have it covered with a hat so im not blinded when driving when its dark. at first I loved it, it worked well with my Note 9, I guess it depends on your phone. My phone (s22) will not stay connected to the unit now just a glorified Bluetooth nowAlso this head unit for a few months was starting at full volume, after resetting it multiple times.
