CLC Custom Leathercraft 1501 Poly Tool and Cell Phone Holder, 4-Pocket, Multi, Medium

I have bought many pouches over the last few months looking for the right one. This one probably is it. I can hold my punchdown, needlenose, and 10-in-1 driver in the main pocket. My cell phone (g2) easily fits in the phone pocket, pens/sharpie in the next pocket, snips fit perfectly in the closest one and 2AA maglight fits great in the "band". There is also enough room left in the main pocket for whatever extra tool I am currently using for the job (linesmans, prober, tin snips, etc...). The only complaint I have about this is that when I walk the elec tape on the loop swings into the maglight and makes an odd knocking sound, almost like a woodpecker. This is not a big deal most of the time but on occation I work in hospitals at night and I can't be making too much noise. In those cases I take the tape off and put it in my pocket.

This has been my go-to tool pouch over a long career in facilities maintenance. You can fit all the essentials and either drop it in your back pocket (thanks to the rigid pocket flap), or snap it on to your belt, and keep your hands free. Beats lugging a bag or "bucket buddy" around, and takes care of 90% of your work orders if you put the right tools in it.

This fits the latest evolution of my work carry quite well. I am able to stick it in my pocket when I'm walking around and hang it in my forklift when I'm driving. It is very well made and so far is handling the day to day routine sufficiently. I would recommend and buy again if needed.

Bought this as a replacement for an old one that was nearly identical. I’m a quality engineer in a manufacturing plant and carry tools around to make shim moves and adjustments to tooling. Seems well built. Thick and sturdy material. Holds everything I need it to. Came with a sticky red schmoo on the tag that I can’t wipe off, dirt and weld spatter should render it un-sticky soon. I like that it has the snap loop for hanging it on your belt, and it also makes it hang low enough that my uniform shirt and hi-vis vest don’t get snagged on it. I might end up cutting the flap off the “cell phone pocket” later on if I don’t find another use for it. Might fit one of the ancient flip phones, but not an iPhone, or nearly any modern day smartphone for that matter. The flashlight loop is a nice touch. Once it gets broke in and the loop stays open after removing the flashlight, it will be easier to get it back in. The rear pocket is big enough to fit both my metric and inch Allen packs, though I don’t usually need the inch pack.

If you do work around the house this would be a great pouch for you. You can hold your basic hand tools. Being I work out in the field I'm not sure how long the pouch will stay on my belt, due the fact the hoop that your belt goes through closes with a snap. I also work with razors so my knives are always open. The inside of the pouch is not leather, so I'm afraid eventually the material will rip. I will use this when I'm on a small job or when I do work around the house.

I use this pouch every day and it is handy, light and solid pouch. The only thing that you must be aware of is the dimensions of your cell phone, I have a Samsung note 9 (3.5" x 6.75" )and it does not fit in the pouch's pocket. For me it was not a big deal, I use that pocket for screwdrivers, just something to consider.

I'm a voice data video tech so I need a pouch big enough to hold my punchdown, snips, screwdriver, flashlight, pliers etc.... It's the perfect size. Not too big, not to small. Husky makes one almost identical to this one which is what I used for a while. I went through 4 of them in a year and my screwdriver quickly wore a hole in the fabric in the bottom. The fabric on the CLC must be much better because I've been using this one for several months and it is still holding up great. Awesome product.

Worth the price

I use this daily in my job as a building superintendent. Just the right amount of space for my most commonly used hand tools.

It's a good little pouch for a tape measure, pens, little knives, or a phone! I like it for my purposes.
