Capture the Love The Original Clay Paw Kit

Very nice kit for making impressions of your pet's paws. However, it is a little hard to press, so particularly smaller dogs and cats would likely be uncomfortable. I have only used the kit to make impressions after my pet passed, so that wasn't an issue for me, but I can see where it would be a potentially big problem. Also, I had to repeatedly put the impression into the oven to harden it, much longer than the directions specified. With that said, it's still the best kit I've found, and I love that it includes the ribbon, round form to get a nice shape for the paw print, and even the little heart is adorable. I definitely recommend this kit, but wanted everyone to be aware of the few issues I ran into. Nothing that couldn't be overcome, but just things you should be aware of, if you decide to purchase this kit. I'll definitely be getting more myself!

This kit was very easy to use and produced a nice keepsake of my dog's paws. It took two tries to get the imprint I wanted, but the clay was easy to work with and didn't seem any worse for the wear after I balled it up, kneaded it, and reformed it using the hoop. I stuck the cute little heart charm in to the clay and then baked it. The best part was that the clay did not give off chemical odors when it was baking.I plan on using acrylic paint to paint the white space around the paw imprints. The instructions say that you can sand and etch the clay after it hardens as well. Lots of options to make your keepsake unique to your style.I just bough another kit and recommended it to my mom as well. Very happy with this product.

I love having these after a pet has passed. Just one bit of advice - make sure the clay is worked soft before the imprint is taken or it barely makes an indentation and does not cook through well.

I love this kit! The color, the size, the ribbon, the material and the heart charm. We were able to get a front and back foot impression of my cat. I wrote on it with a toothpick and used the heart to write I love u. The impressions are clear.We tried two human kits from Babies R Us and I hated them. The ugly toxic smelling powdery clay junk which made horrible impressions. Plus it was no bake and they never set. This kit is very clever because it comes with a card to flatten and roll out material instead of having to use foil or something else that leaves crease lines in the ornament. My husband used a wooden rolling pin even thought the directions didnt call for it.

Used the hoop but could've used a 32oz cup.. Or sewing hoop for free. Cheap heart bead. Maybe 8" of ribbon. Buy yourself a fluffy, non toxic, air dry modeling clay for much less and piece special things out yourself at the craft store or even on amazon. You can do better.

I have one from my veteran office when I had to put one of my dogs down and it turned out great. So I wanted to buy one for my other dog that we are going to have to put down soon. That way we have matching paw prints has keep sakes to remember them by. I'll update my review once I make it.

I purchased this product 5/13 because we just learned that my dog has lymphoma. I wanted to get a paw print to remember her by...loved the kit! It came with a rolling pin to smooth the clay, a heart to embellish the print, a plastic round circle to help you make a circular mold, and a plastic pattern which the clay came off of easily. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get a print of their loved furry friend. I will have this keepsake forever!

I was able to split up the clay putty and use this to take 3 paw prints of my cats. I just followed directions and used a knife to cut away the excess putty (leaving extra at top for a hole) to use on the next paw print. I love that I can decorate it, like adding beads that I have. Very good to capture the memory of a elderly cat.
