On The Border Cafe Style Tortilla Chips, 11 Ounce (Pack of 3)

I love corn over flour tortilla chips. There's a plus for me right there. They're crispy and fresh tasting. Great size. Make great nachos. I like them better than Mexican restaurant chips because less greasy and better tasting. BOTTOMLINE: I will keep getting these as long as they're available and price doesn't go up too much.

The chips are great

I don't remember the price, but I know I was hesitant ordering them because they were so expensive. They are tasty and have a nice texture, they aren't so hard and sharp as most tortilla chips. They went fast, so I thought I would order more, but they had doubled the price, so I've never looked at them or ordered them again.

I actually ordered these by mistake, but as I frequently make chicken tortilla soup. I was happy to give them a try. I was NOT expecting to be so impressed by a tortilla chip, but these are marvelous, containing just enough queso to taste the flavor, but not overpower the chip. Accidents have outcomes we don't expect! This is one of those, and I will order them again, as I have never come across these in any store!

The June 8 expiration batch was one third crumbs, there is an unfortunate issue with handling, poor packaging and shipping. If you like eating chips like cereal with sslsa and a dpoon, this is totally your jam. Call me crazy, but I like my chips to be whole triangles, but I might be asking too much. The batches with January ecpiration dates were superb, I ordered 3 packs 3 more times. The taste and freshness is also lacking, they go stale very fast. The broken up tortilla dust is not even chilequiles-worthy. Very disappointed, especially considering they were so amazing just 6 months ago. Maybe the equipment needs cleaning? Fire the quality control team because they are allowing absolute garbage to go into the bags. Or if you have no quality control team, hit me up, I'll work for chips. But not yours.

I love corn chips. Until I received these, I don't think I've ever had a bag of corn chips that I didn't like. I prepared some melted cheese and put it over a bowl of these chips. Very odd taste. Dug around to get plain chips...yep, it's the chips. They taste stale. Very stale. Checked the date. It is currently March 17, 2022...these have a sell by date of May 4 2022. But they taste almost rancid. Now I have 3 bags of these. I might try serving them crumbled into a bowl of chili...but they certainly aren't the kind of chips you can snack on! Don't waste your money! UPDATE: last nite, a few hours after eating these, I was in bed, and suddenly started sweating profusely and getting very dizzy. Too dizzy to walk, or keep my eyes open. I'd gone through this four years ago, had gone to the ER, diagnosed as food poisoning. This time I just stayed in bed, it lasted well over an hour. THESE WERE THE CAUSE! If it tastes weird, THROW IT OUT!
