Q: I need the tape to match my wall color. Is it paintable?

It's not ok to macth your wall color, it is slightly sticky and not suitable for painting. So I suggest you use painter's tape. This asin is B07WY4FF47.

Q: Is this gaffers tape more like cloth where I can print or write on it and it wont run? (semi-glossy gaffers tape wont let ink dry or adhere thats why)

I got the black and it is definitely matte and cloth-like and you can write on it easily. You just have to be sure your ink color shows up on your tape color! 😉
