ZEBRA ZSB Series Thermal Label Printer - Wireless Label Printer for ZSB Cartridges - Compatible with UPS, USPS & FedEx - 4" Print Width

I do a lot of online shopping, with the occasional sales. I used to print 4x6 labels to paper, and then either cut them out and tape, or use adhesive label pouches. When I ran out of pouches, I decided to splurge on a thermal printer. There's a ton of generic printers out there, but I wanted wifi capability to be able to print from my home PC and locate the printer anywhere in the house, and Zebra, Brother, and Dymo are generally well recommended brand names. Found a great price on a used model through Amazon Warehouse, and other than a test label having already been printed (Zebra's software tells you how many labels are left in the roll, so ), couldn't tell it was used.You have to download zebra's app, but after registering, pairing, and updating, it's immediately ready for use. I was able to effortlessly print labels from my home or PC. As mentioned the app tells you how many labels are left, and you have to use zebra brand replacements, but at my printing rate, the initial roll it comes with will last for years. The label adhesive is a bit weak, causing the edges not too stick, but that's no fault of the printer, and I bet Zebra's "durable 4x6" labels, which of course cost more than the default, don't have this problem.If it weren't for the used priced I would not have considered this printer, and even then it's hard to justify, but if you regularly print shipping labels and want an easy to use, efficient setup, I'd say it's worth the cost.

First off, when this printer works, it works great. Print quality is good, labels are good. No concern. The PROBLEM is that it is only Bluetooth. That means anytime my computer goes to sleep it loses connection and it gives me an error, that I must restart my computer.... Wait WHAT! restart my computer and close out all my windows just to print a label!!! WORTHLESS! In the ZEBRA infinite wisdom, there is no option to plug in via USB. So, the only time I can print labels is first thing in the morning because I’m not shutting all this done to print a stupid shipping label!

I've had no issue with this printer at all. Syncing it was easy. The printing is easy. No mess ups or jams by the printer. The quality is slightly more pixilated than I would like for clarity but the post office has no issue with scanning the barcodes, so it is an aesthetic issue really. There have been no issues with wireless connectivity either. It is much better than my Dymo printer by far. Insanely better. Note: I am working from my Mac computer, do not print directly from my mobile, but from my actual Mac desktop. I did find it a little annoying you have to download the app to start the process, but after that, no issues with getting it connected to my desktop via bluetooth and adding the software. It works great for jewelry barbell pricing labels as well and it was super easy to find this format on their website and edit details as needed. I do not get all the negative reviews and am glad I took the chance to buy this steady workhorse of a printer.

***UPDATE***Auto-label printing after changing cartridges has been fixed*Zebra now has updated this and you can turn it off in “Setting”. Log into the ZSB Portal and you can turn it off or on from there.***Original Review**Thank you for listening Zebra and now this product is perfect! I’ve been using it for months, I contact support 1 time with a small connection issue and it was fixed within 3 minutes!Print quality is amazing and it was easy to use and set up. It’s nice to see a fresh/modern look from Zebra and the presentation of the product and the unboxing is nice. Plus, you get a full cartridge unlike some of those “other guys” that give you a sample roll. While the cost of each label is about 13 cents, keep in mind that with a cartridge that always places them perfect, you won’t have jams or wasted labels like other printers, and there’s no having to line up labels, you drop and go. Keep in mind also this is marketed at Home/Small businesses which makes it worth every penny. Mobile on the go printing will be nice once they update the product which after reading other reviews and seeing Zebra replies, Zebra is working on an update.

The setup wasn't too bad. Not plug and play like a regular printer would be, but i got it up and running in a few minutes. I just denied location sharing in the app so that wasn't a concern, and many things use apps to set up these days.My problems came _after_ the setup process. I tried several different settings permutations but it will NOT evenly print at the edges. The attached images try at the highest darkness levels (lower levels are worse) each of the different dithering options and it simply doesn't fill in the whole solid rectangle.The designer app/website is barely passable, and the app on the phone doesn't seem to have 4x6 presets, and I see no way to EDIT the designs on the phone, so that app is worthless. Sending it back.

I was very disappointed when I first got this, had connection issues. However, the Zebra Tech support came through and did some magic and it all works well now.I still think the setup process is weird in that it requires a mobile device. I think that issue is really short-sided as some people don't have these and if I was a person working in a company I'm not sure how it would work using a personal phone to set up a company device. There should be another way to get the thing set up. Even in our small business if I was away and it needed to be worked on not sure how my employees would do that without my phone???
