Macgregor Safe/Soft Training Softball

These are softcover, and great practice balls. They will still hurt it it hits you, but it takes a little bit of the sting away. The only downside is it dampens the "crack of the bat" spund and the ball is more dead off the bat. Perfect for practicing pitching though! And we have left these outside for 5 months. They fade in the sun, but feel good as new. Even after being trained on for 2 seasons.

These are the best balls for your coed league they will last a good while

Both of my daughters are in softball/tball and are both a bit timid about those hard 11" softballs that are used in each game. They have both been hit by them in the past and were a little scared to catch them when thrown or hit. So I took our coach's recommendation and looked online for these Safe Soft practice balls - now they both LOVE practicing and playing T-ball and Softball. This is perfect for what I needed it for. I am a personal trainer and I hand these out to clients so that they can roll out the adhesions in their muscles. Not too hard and just the perfect amount of softness.

This soft-touch softball is a great training aid for young softball players who need to overcome their fear of being hit by the ball. I would prefer taller seams for pitching purposes, but this ball meets all of my expectations for versatility and durability. The price was great also.

Excellent starter ball for beginners. I transitioned to these safety balls from the Jugs orange dimpled balls from the batting cage that I was using to play catch with my 6 year old daughter. Has an excellent weight to them and my daughter can hang onto them a lot better than the lighter dimpled balls.

This is a great product for our indoor training. Might be a little softer than I would like, but it works well in the gym and som of our newer girls are more confident since they know it won’t hurt as bad.

We use these for our indoor training. They are soft enough to use indoors but have a similar feel to a regular ball. We use them when throwing and with field work. We still use the regular softballs for hitting drills in the cage and with nets.

I bought these for my U11 softball team with kids that have little experience playing ball. These are soft enough that they won’t hurt as bad as a regular ball if hit by one. These balls have raised seams and are hard enough for the kids to be able to get a good grip on them to be able to throw. I recommend these for kids learning the sport and kids who may have a fear of being hit by a ball.

Purchased for competitive Fastpitch indoor practice, and does not disappoint. With these balls, we do not have to worry about property damage to the rental facilities that we use or injury to new development players, who are a little more nervous to catch then some of our veteran players.
