Awesome and writing at it's best!!!!
This book is the newest in her series of simple guides. It is an excellent introduction to attachment difficulties, written in an easy to digest and accessible form, minimising jargon helping the reader to reflect on not only the young person but themselves as an attachment influence and person with their own attachment history. Useful when working not only with children but also with adults as attachment is a lifelong ever changing story.I love the bringing together of theories around trauma and attachment as sometimes this can be lost in other books and training.Yet again she has written one of the best books in this subject, if you haven't read any others I highly recommend you buy the series. I have a few copies of each I lend out.I highly recommend this book they have changed the way I parent and also the way I work with young adults and children at work. I guarantee when you have read this book it will change the way you look at the world..........

A lifeline for those needing insight asap!
Great attachment basics book. I have all of the books by Betsy and you can bet your life that what you’ll get is a ‘straight to the bone’ and easily digestible insight into any of the topics Betsy has written about. You can take the knowledge from these books and put them straight into frontline practice; in my case social work. Parents can learn from this book, and others by Betsy, just as easily as anyone else! My favourite author by far and for good reason!

Brief but full of information
Great introduction into attachment, and brief enough to pick up the basics.
