A Level Philosophy
This is a pretty good textbook for revising A-Level Philosophy. It is more concise than other books I have consulted and, in a sense, part of its beauty, for it summarises topics and arguments needed for the course in a less wordy fashion than other texts. The book also has lots of guidance for students, with essay plans, practice questions and exam techniques at the rear of the text.In addition, there are module summaries at the end of each section, which are ideal for quick recap and revision. There is also a useful glossary at the back of the book, which clarifies all the essential concepts and terms in simplified language.A shortcoming is that there are few readings included from primary sources used in the text, though the author does provide a full reading list and website addresses where links to sources can be found.I hope you find my review helpful.

The best A level Philosophy textbook
This is a fantastic resource for students of AQA A level Philosophy. It's clear, well laid-out, focussed, and a really practical resource for students and teachers. It is far better than the Lacewing book and is (at last!) a really solid textbook for the subject. Highly recommended.

Fantastic guide
Received today and already know it’s worth every penny. All of the key topics are laid out in such a straightforward way and the author’s writing is so compelling! Will make it so much easier to work out what’s going on in the syllabus.

A great REVISION book!
So, I have seen some ex-teachers saying that this alone is not comprehensive enough about the whole syllabus and with it only you won’t get an A. However, I strongly believe as a revision book, it still has great benefit though do not only use this book as it definitely does not cover some things in as much detail as required. Furthermore by trying to present a reductionist view of the course, it sometimes makes things more confusing than in the actual textbook by not providing enough information for explanation. Overall for me, a great revision book, but NOT an alternative to the official textbook. Hope this helps other A level Philosophy students! Btw, son using mums account here :)

“How to scrape a pass in A Level Philosophy”
This book is cynically titled and will trick students into getting it with an offer of high grades for “minimal effort”. It takes a skeletal, imprecise approach to the course. There is missing content, and the essay plans are no where near A grade standard. The book is written in a simplistic way which students think is helpful but actually it leads to them misunderstanding the content. This book might help someone pass the course but no one could get an A/A* as promised in the title purely on this book, and the idea you could get a high grade with little effort is frankly damaging.
