Bluesound Powernode Wireless Multi-Room High Resolution Music Streaming Amplifier - White

This is a super convenient, great sounding unit that is very easy to love. Took me 5 minutes to set it up, attach my speakers and start enjoying music. I discover a lot of music on YouTube, especially live stuff that you can’t really find anywhere, I connected my TV to the Bluesound via HDMI and found that it’s also great for movies etc. Overall, it’s an easy and very affordable way to enjoy great sound.

I'm not knocking multi component hi-fi, it has its appeal. But having it all in one box...especially when it all just works...is great. Sound quality is fantastic, as is the blueos ecosystem. Bottom line, it lets me sit back and enjoy my music. (Except I went out last week and bought 2 new speakers and a sub...maybe the search doesn't ever end!) I will be buying their soundbar next. On a side note. The first unit delivered by Amazon was used stock being sold as new and it wasn't even operational used stock! Sent sparks flying all over my room! I contacted Bluesound and feel confident that this was beyond their power to control. It was an Amazon issue. Just be sure to double check your boxes and make sure they are sealed from the factory.

I am comparing to a Arcam SA20 90 watt stereo which does sound a bit better with a set of Elac Ribbon twitter speakers. Overall the Arcam is a bit better when paired with a Bluesound Node or Nano to stream music. That said, it is good, with good power. I like to small footprint and that it matches my white speakers(so did my Node). I am going to keep it because my Arcam doesn't have an HDMI that works with my TV. The phone app can be annoying and require you to manually change it back to Spotify after watching TV. I think this is annoying but is easier then having to use my stereo remote to change the TV volume. Overall, its nice for its small form factor. If that wasn't a priority I would get a RZ50 stereo and pair it with a nano. This way you get more channels/options.

It was a little quirky at setup in which it showed an error on the app when trying to join my wifi, but when I went back into the app the settings were transferred successfully. Then it attempted to start updating and it gave a weird error message. I again went back to the app and it showed it was in the process updating. Outside of those weird messages, the setup was painless. I was able to instantly get Qobuz linked to Bluesound along with Roon able to quickly find the PowerNode. Once I chose a song the music just easily came out of my two ELAC 2.0 Debut Shelf Speakers. PowerNode had no issues powering those bad boys. I was able to test running music directly from the BlueOS app and Roon and they were painless. Highly recommended.

I plugged in the powernode and it started shorting above/around the top of the unit near the ethernet port. I immediately turned it off but it started smoking. I believe the damage was already done. Box appeared to have already been opened despite being sold as new. Sent back for refund.

A lot of reviewers seemed to have had no issues setting this thing up out of the box. Some others experienced the same problems I did with WiFi. If you have multiple/meshed WiFi routers using the same SSID, this device has issues. I ended up installing a separate router with a separate SSID just to get it to work, BUT I still need to also connect a physical ethernet cable directly between the router and the Powernode for it to work somewhat reliably, as WiFi alone is problematic. Powerful and clear sound when it works, however the sound is very digital and sometimes harsh. If you're in to smooth sounding amps like tube amps, this may not be your best choice. Apple Airplay 2 works sometimes. It'll play (really well) for an hour or so and then without warning drop the connection, even when all equipment is connected to the same network. Listening to MQA quality music is awesome, but again (for me) will only work when connected with an ethernet cable. The iPhone App is super buggy, and freezes frequently. Without the App several features are not accessible. TIP: The iPhone App is super buggy and doesn't reliably work most of the time. Because of the dysfunctional App, you really need to (separately) purchase the Bluesound RC1 - Simple IR Remote Control, if you want to have an acceptable relationship with your Bluesound Powernode. The remote is very good, feels smooth and sturdy and works even when you do not have direct line of sight on the amp, which is interesting in a good way since it's an infrared (IR) device that normally needs to be able to "see" the sensor on the amp. UPDATE: after spending a few more hours troubleshooting I got the Amp to work on my normal WiFi network, without a physical Ethernet cable. I did a hard factory reset per Bluesound instructions, reinstalled/upgraded the software/firmware, re-initiated the installation sequence and rebooted all my routers and gateways and now I can play Apple Music from my MacBook over Apple Airplay 2. However the iPhone App still doesn't work, despite completely upgrading my iPhone iOS and reinstalling the BluOS App, etc. This means several of the streaming features aren't accessible and you can't get to most of the settings and audio control features such as Subwoofer crossover control, which I actually really like when it works. And just when I finished typing this, the App works again while I did absolutely nothing to try and fix it. Who knows for how long though... All in all super frustrating. I really think I've had to put in a ridiculous amount of work for such an expensive piece of equipment. This shouldn't be this hard.

I was surprise by the quality of sound & bass that gives my bookshelf Speaker. Very nice & Very Minimalist. Match with my White Fluance RT81 Turntable & my White QA Concept 20 Bookshelf. You won’t be needing subwoofer.

I have two Bluesound streamers already linked to more serious systems and they are the reason I stayed with Bluesound for an all in one for a new room. I can group all the Nodes tother for music throughout the house too which is nice. This amplified unit has surprised me at the price. Driving a 20 year old pair of B&W 603s to very good effect. Crisp and clear with an excellent soundstage At the price I am a Very Happy Customer. As with all the units I have the setup of this has been at times frustrating, especially working out if the Node is streaming Tidal or just running it from my my devices on Bluetooth. There should be a much easier way to distinguish. But that is just a niggle in what is otherwise a unit I have no hesitation in recommending.

Ich hatte schon den kleineren Vorgänger N150. Jetzt mit dieser Version ( N330 ) kann man das Gerät durch den HDMI Anschluss wirklich sehr gut integrieren. Der Klang hat sich deutlich verbessert, sodass man mit der Leistung auch normale Standlautsprecher bestens hören kann. Die OsApp und Steuerung ist wirklich perfekt. Das war auch mit der Grund bei Bluesound zu bleiben. Von mir volle Sterne. Die optionale F.B. ist leider nicht mit dabei! Ich brauche sie aber auch nicht, da ein anlernen der TV FB in der App vorhanden ist.

Dieses Gerät ist wirklich der Knaller! Bin von der Hardware sowie der Software (BluOS) absolut begeistert. Habe vorher einen Sonos Connect (mit einem Digitalupgrade) an einem Rotel Receiver RSX-1560 sowie am nuConnect ampx betrieben...doch erst jetzt löst sich die Musik von den Lautsprechern (Canton Ref.9) und klingt irgendwie feiner aufgelöst. Trotzdem sehr knackige Bässe. Zudem möchte ich mich bei dem Verkäufer "Elektro Enzinger GmbH" für die super schnelle Lieferung quer durch Deutschland (DPD Prio Express) sowie "Leni" für die tolle Verpackung bedanken!

It's ok for the money, not an outstanding buy I don't think personally. I paired this up with $1200 Energy speakers, expensive speaker wire and a JBL sub, also about 1200$. It sounds pretty good, but think it could be better, or cheaper. It was extremely easy to set up, and very easy to use, but recommend getting the remote, which I now have, but at this price should really be included. It works well with streaming, and very little delay with advancing songs, ect, no delay if you just let it play. The app has a few settings that allow you to set up for optimal use of the bass speaker, and a few other options to define your sound. I would really think it was about an 800$ amp sound wise, but the steaming features, USB stick options are great, and like the ease of use and set up.

Zwei Jahre nun im Einsatz. Hat mehr als genug Leistung für meine Silver 100 7G. Mein klanglich bisher bester Class D Amp. Im Vergleich zu Sonos ein vielleicht optisch weniger schönes, aber dafür deutlich zuverlässigeres Software Erlebnis.
