My boys love this thing! We are screen free so this really helps. They love being able to work it all by themselves, as do I. The speaker is good quality and durable…it has been dropped and several times. With three boys the house get really loud, so being able to control the max volume on the speaker is wonderful. I can set it loud enough for them to listen to it without it getting too loud to hear it throughout the house. My only mistake was not getting two of these when they were on deal as my 3 and 1 1/2 year old fight over it.

My boys got this as a gift. They love it so much I bought one for my niece and nephew. Such a fun and clever little toy. We have lots of Tonies. Only downside is price of each individual Tonie is a little high.

Totally engaging. Can be dropped, thrown, and sat on (by 1 yr old). This is the 2nd one purchased. One yr and 6 yrs old. Both enjoy them tremendously. This toy actually can grow with the child. Will be purchasing more as the # of grandchildren expands. Worth every penny. The quality exceeds other similar items. Great for nighttime lullabies or stories.

We love our tonie. It’s worth the money! It’s easy to set up and for the kids easy to use. They are able to play their music so early themselves and entertain themselves. The site is good. Color is good.

We absolutely love the Toniebox! It’s hands down the best gift we’ve bought for our 2-year-old. He has to have it on every night to fall asleep and loves listening to it while playing—even during bath time! We also love that it’s a gift you can keep adding to with new Tonies, making it something he can grow with.

Love our tonie box! It was an awesome deal and it is really helping my daughter get into music! She has never really cared for muaic or stories so we are trying something new. Awesome for all ages

My husband and I gave our Granddaughter the Tonie Box Starter Set with the puppy Tonie for her 2nd birthday. She LOVES it! It's the perfect size for her and she can remove the Box from the charger and place it back on without issue. The music quality is good. She loves placing her other Tonies on top of the Box to listen and dance to the different songs each Tonie plays. Excellent gift for toddlers.

I have a few things.My first impression is that the box is small enough that my almost 2-year-old granddaughter can carry it around. The inner shell is plastic I'm assuming, but the outer shell is a really squishy foam covered by whatever colored cloth you chose. This makes it really easy for them to hold because they can kind of squish it and grip it without hurting it. I also dropped it a few times just to test it out and it bounces nicely without being damaged because of the foam outer shell.The ears on top help to control things like volume. One is noticeably bigger than the other so it's easy to tell them apart. They're easy to pinch between your fingers to change the volume. Possibly her fingers will be too small, but this has a youngest age of 3 and they could definitely pinch the ears.The box does require 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal. I have T-Mobile 5 GHz. It took some time but I figured out that you could piggyback a 2.4 GHz signal off your wi-fi even if it's a 5 GHz wi-fi. The box does not stay connected to wi-fi. That's only used to update with new material when you get a new character and for the initial setup. Once you have everything set up, you don't need wi-fi anymore. The box can go anywhere.There is no on off switch. In order for the box to turn off, it basically has to be left alone for 10 to 15 minutes. However as soon as you add a character to the top it will turn back on again. If you get a storage tote or something to hold your characters, make sure the characters cannot sit on top of the box or it will never shut off. LOLThere is no battery level indicator so it's sometimes difficult to tell how much battery is left. In my opinion, the charger should be left somewhere where the box can be placed at night so it charges overnight and is ready for play the next day.Since my granddaughter is not quite 2, our plan is to set the charging base in her room and use the night time lullabies and white noise characters while she sleeps and allow the box to charge at the same time.I'm very excited for this gift for her. I've already had a lot of fun playing with it.The one star deduction is for no battery indicator and no on/off switch.
