It works as expected. Keys have a good feel to them. Sliders and knobs work well for both MIDI and DAW control functionality. It's class-compliant, so installing the bundled software isn't absolutely necessary. It works right out of the box and is plug-and-play.

I have been using this keyboard for a few months now and I can confidently say that I have been able to product excellent beats and rhythms.

We’ve integrated the Oxygen 49 MKV into our audio studio as a primary MIDI controller, and it has streamlined our workflow significantly. The keys have a great natural response for a controller in this class, but the "Smart" features—specifically Smart Chord and Scale modes—are what save us the most time during composition sessions. The NKS integration makes browsing our Native Instruments library seamless, and the auto-mapping to our DAW worked right out of the box. It’s a reliable, feature-rich keyboard that handles both delicate melody lines and heavy beat-making with the pads.

The keyboard seems to work well, but the included software is, frankly, a PITA. You have to create at least 3 accounts to get the plug-ins and apps to work and I'm pretty sure I ended up downloading everything twice since there are two software hubs (InMusic Software Center & M-Audio Software Manager) plus you have to deal with Native Instruments if you want their software as well. Downloading, installing and setting everything up in my DAW took me about 6 hours. The process is not as easy as they could have made it.

Excellent product very happy with it and the keys are still awesome. The pads work great. The look overall is awesome, good response and very economic.

Works really well! The keybord feels smooth and comfy! Its pretty big but could be portable! Ive been producing music and it is very useful! Its worth it!

Great instrument

Great keyboard. Connects easily via USB. Build quality seems good so far. Keys are weighted, not quite like a piano but more for using with a DAW and synthesisers. As a controller all function keys are provided - volume sliders, pan controls and transport controls (loop, stop, start, record). As I use Magix Samplitude Music Studio DAW they keyboard is recognised straightaway. I understand that setting up Cubase can be a long-winded affair (plenty of help available on line on Steinberg's site). Keys are full size which is essential if you have large hands.
