Relatives moving to Cambridge so thought this would be ideal. Looks very comprehensive

We used this on our recent trip to enable us to see places we may have missed on previous trips to Cambridge. It had quite a number of welcome suggestions we didn't know anything about. The page of writing detailing each place was just enough. I've knocked off one star because there were too many cafe/eatery listings. I've also knocked off half a star for the 'Mystery Merman' entry - had the authors read the booklet you can purchase in this beautiful little church they would have found the answer to their 'mystery'. This makes me question other entries. Still an enjoyable read however, and I would buy other books in the series.

I’m halfway through and really enjoying finding places that I never knew about despite living here all my life. Interesting stories about places I’ve visited, I feel like I’m a tourist in my own town and will buy copies for other towns I visit.

I was an undergraduate in the 1970's and have been back many times since but this book is a mine of information. Particularly strong on the churches and their histories and some of the unique shops and pubs. Go for a long weekend and and use the guide to explore the areas around Cambridge as well. Written with warmth, wit and charm
