Gaiam Essentials Foam Roller, High Density Firm Deep Tissue Muscle Massager for Back Pain & Sore Muscles

This feels so amazing when I get home after a workout. I workout regularly, & I'm not getting any younger, and noticed I was feeling tighter and needed a little longer to recover between workouts. This feels so great after a workout, & it definitely helped with muscle soreness. I got the smaller size, & it's wide enough that I'm able to use it on my back. It feels just as good as the more expensive brand name ones, like the ones they have at my gym.

A must have for my back pain. I use it every day to stretch my back and roll out knots. I also use it after CrossFit workouts on my legs.

Oh my gosh, how did I never know about foam rollers before now? My trainer was suggesting I use it for muscle tightness and aches. So, Amazon to the rescue once again! It's a good quality roller. I was disappointed that there were no exercises included with it, but I just found some on the internet. It is lightweight but dense, so should last a really long time. The first time I used it on my back and my shoulders, I wondered when it had been all my life!

This foam roller was perfect for all the athletes in my house! It was easy to roll out on after a game or workout! Definitely worth the money! Very easy to store as well!

Compared to the amazon essentials equivalent of this product, I found this one had a much less if at all pronounced seam. Moreover, compared to the Yes4All brand, I found the quality to be about the same. Overall excellent light weight product that can be used to roll on after working out or just to get a good stretch. Do bear in mind for the older and perhaps more sensitive folk, this product is firm, its designed to be firm, I prefer it firm and so I bought it. It doesn't have any "give" so if you prefer something that isn't very firm, then perhaps consider a product that is advertised as "medium" firmness. But as for me, I love it in the black color, and it is high quality, light weight, and exactly what I was looking for. Cheers Gaiam Essentials on a good product!

For 20 years now I've had back and neck pain. I've been to physical therapy, a variety of medication, and even shots in my lower back. I was, in my younger days, an Infantryman machine gunner. I would carry at times a 100+ lbs durning training exercises. Years and years I've had chronic back pain and would occassionally throw my lower back completely out. The VA has never recommended an item like this and this one item was a game changer for me. First use, I could instantly tell it had deep penetration and it was working extremely well. My back and overall well being is much better and hopefully using this over time will continue to relieve the pain I've had. Definitely worth buying! For the creators of this product, It may be a good idea to hand out a few of these at the VA physical therapy department, could make your product very popular since most vets I know have back issues. Could land you a big contract

Whoa. This is rock hard. I didn't expect that, so it doesn't work for me. However, I ordered a different brand (yes 4 all) that was supposed to be soft-density and it was just as hard as this one, but with sharp edges and very rough ends. This Gaiam is far superior if you are in the market for a hard roller.

Bastante firme, de buen tamaño y precio, comparado con otros que encontré que eran muy pequeños, o algunos del mismo tamaño que costaban el triple. Ideal para estirar la espalda, recomiendo ver tutoriales en la web para saber cómo usarlo de mejor manera!
