Our kitchen as 12 of these GU10s and previously they were 5W ones from a local DIY store. It just felt not bright enough in the kitchen. Not dark, just not bright enough. If you went into the far corners of the room it was dim.I started to look for brighter bulbs, but they all seem to top out around 5W so it was nice to find some 8W ones and at a really good price. I was sceptical if the extra 3W per bulb would make much of a difference, but it really does these bulbs have a much greater lumen output than most bulbs. Now our entire kitchen is fully illuminated and the lights are very bright. Yes it would be great if they were dimmable, but I'd rather have bright light enabling me to cook and work in the kitchen than be able to occasionally set the mood.I can't tell you how long they'll last but if they pop in less than a year, i'll come back and update this review.

Had these installed in our bathroom ceiling light fittings for 3 months.Very bright. Nice colour temperature for a bathroom , not too yellow, not to white...Still working 3 months on.Update (5th Nov 2023) : 2 of 3 still working. 1 failed during summer.I will buy these again.

JandCase GU10 8w Bulbs. Decent bulbs. Bright enough for a bathroom. Nice colour, quite warm. Not sure why some reviews talk about needing sunglasses, they ain't that bright! 4* as they could be brighter and more energy efficient. (Dunno why Amazon ask about longevity, only just installed them!)

All failed - plastic body splits. Thought I would share having now changed the last few.

I have replaced the old bulbs and was very surprised at the amount of illumination these new bulbs provide. In addition to the energy savings they provide is a ratio of 3 times more illumination with an energy cost of one-third of the old ones. Excellent buy.

A price of £11.98 for a pack of six 8W GU10 bulbs is quite reasonable, and it does appear to be about average, but be prepared to be extra careful if using a suction adapter to fit these bulbs, because the diffuser lenses are not very well attached. Four out of six lenses came off when we fitted the bulbs, and closer inspection revealed that only a very small amount of adhesive was used in a couple of areas to attach them during manufacture.

Our kitchen used some old dullish led lights which have been replaced with these. MUCH brighter now, a little more power used, 8watts, but that's only 6 x 8w overall....48watts. Very happy

Reasonably priced, simple to fit, and really bright compared to standard led bulbs I could find in the shops. Put them in the bathroom and they work great. Much cheaper to run and don’t get hot like halogens.
