EK Waterblocks EK-FC1080 GTX TF6 for (MSI, GeForce and GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060) - Acetal+Nickel

I am a big fan of the price plummet these saw early this year, and that's why I bought them. They are absolutely great quality, don't get me wrong, but the demand doesn't seem to be there at the $150 tag they plummeted from. However, I will comment that they suffer from one limitation, the inability to see inside them to check for corrosion or blockage. Checking one requires a dismantling, and that means voiding the leakproof guarantee as well as possibly the warranty. This is the only point I would look to the clear ones for. Seeing the fluid is great and all, but being able to inspect for issues is more important. However, I stuck with these because I knew I was capable of making the prior checks necessary to reduce the risk of needing to open one. If you have experience with WC, you'll know EK quality. It comes down to clear vs not clear. Make your own decision.

Wrong fit

Works well but nickel plating started to come off after 3 years on this block and a EKWB Supremacy CPU block, both in the same loop. Don't know if it's poor plating or bad coolant but just replaced the blocks and refilled the loop w/a different coolant. Will be looking for copper w/o nickel plating for future loops.
