Defective
Recently bought this TV & only 1/2 of the screen displayed properly. Then it would stay on for 2 minutes & what was left of the screen would disappear. Was told I could return it if I paid the shipping ($50-$100). Contacted a LG repairman, he said the screen was bad & would order a new one & replace it at no cost. We'll see if that will fix it. Bought a 4 year warranty, so I'm probably covered that long.Had the screen replaced for free & it now works fine. LG will replace the screen for free if the tv is less than 18 months old.

Sweet 4K UHD TV for the price
Excellent TV for the price. 4K picture is stunning. Built in smart features like Amazon Prime and Netflix are awesome.

A Critic's View from the Top.
I did my homework and read the reviews prior to purchase and it paid off. The LG exceeded my expectations.

A good TV as a computer monitor
Get this from Dell for more than two weeks, mainly as a computer monitor. Overall is a very good TV/monitor with some small drawbacks.Pros:1. 4k@60Hz with 4:4:42. Color is good3. Response time is good enough for using as a computer monitor (I am not a gamer)Cons:1. Color looks a little washed if look from the top, so make sure to hang this TV high, then the color is great2. This is an edge-lit TV, so local dim will produce strange glow stripes when the picture is mostly black, but again it is not too bad as long as you don't look from the top.

Great TV. Get it.
Bought this TV (50UF8300) from Dell and it was one of the best decisions that I have made. Great clarity and very crisp and sharp image. The webOs mouse is awesome. Get it if you are still on the fence. No regrets.

and it was fine for a month
Got this TV back in Nov 2015. There were no reviews anywhere, so I thought "it is a new TV so I don't think I will have any problem!" WRONG! 3 months after I got it, I had this issue. Half of the screen was working normal, the other half was black. LG sent a technician since it is still under warranty, and he changed the motherboard, and it was fine for a month. Now I am having the same issue again, called LG and I will have another technician coming over to check my TV. Does anyone know if LG can exchange this piece of garbage for another TV under warranty?

Good for only 2 years
After less than 2 good years the tv stopped working. We discovered the LED bulb burnt out. Had that repaired for half the price of a new tv. 3 months later, same problem. Never trusting LG again.
