What is the distance between both mounting hole centers?

1 1/4" on the plate 2 2/4" on the hinge

Why does this dior hinge come in two pieces?

One piece for the cabinet side and one piece for the door side

How do I connect the two pieces? There are no instructions

The back of the larger piece should slip into the receiving bracket, then you Tighten the adjustment screw.

Is this a pair of hinges or just 1 hinge.? I have to replace two.

This is one complete hinge, consisting of two pieces. The larger piece fits on the door; you just press the circular part into the circular hole drilled in the door. The other piece goes on the edge of the cabinet frame. The screw holes should lineup perfectly, although they might be slightly thicker, so you might have to put a little soap on the threads to get them to go in. When you get this hinge, you may have to temporarily screw the larger part into something solid, like a piece of wood ,so that you can unfold it because it's spring loaded pretty heavily. Once you do that, it should be fairly straightforward, although it was a little difficult for me. Just keep checking out your other hinges and see how they're put together and that will help you. Do one of the hinges first, so you can refer to the other hinge to see how it is correctly installed. Good luck!
