Van Heusen Men's Dress Shirts Fitted Lux Sateen Stretch Solid Spread Collar

If you are looking for a shirt that is stretchy and more comfortable to wear for hours THIS IS NOT THAT SHIRT! This shirt is in no way shape or form stretch material. Beyond that it is not even fitted. I’d say relaxed fit or original fit. Very billowy when tucked in.I am 5’9” and 195 and I ordered a 16” neck with 33-34 arms. The neck was great and the length of the arms was great. But it would have only been appropriate for a Shakespearean play.On top of the falsely advertised fit the shirt was clearly warn and clearly not washed. On the upside the previous purchaser did have good taste in Cologne. The picture attached shoes both shirts I ordered and the one being clearly used.All in all a completely falsely advertiser shirt it was returned immediately.

I really like the color, fabric and fit. Has a very light sheen to it, not quite like a silk but overall pleasant. The fit was very comfortable and I'm definitely more of an "average" shape vs athletic but it definitely fits better than the "regular fit" that likes to poof out around the waist. Only complaint is that the buttons like to come off in the wash.... Easy enough to fix but I have $10 dress shirts from Walmart that don't seem to have this issue. All in all, good comfy shirt, decent material, just need to stock up on spare buttons!

I purchased this shirt as part of the grooms men’s outfits for a wedding I attended recently. I have a few comments:Positives: fits well for the cost, affordable. Slim fitted shirt fit fine and looked great with an undershirt.Negatives: nearly sheer, absolutely requires an undershirt (my farmer’s tan is visible through the sleeves). Quality a bit on the poor side. Threads securing the buttons each started to unravel after a single wear and wash. Could be unique to this exact shirt, however, as I have several other Van Heusen shirts and they do not have this problem.Furthermore, I would recommend shirt stays with this particular shirt as it is very, very light and easily untucked. I was the only groomsman wearing stays, and I was the only one that didn’t have to constantly retuck the rear of the shirt in.Overall, for $20, this is a manageable dress shirt. If there was some assurance that the issue with the button threads unraveling was unique to my shirt (although admittedly it appears to simply be lackluster construction quality), I would consider purchasing again. However, Banana Republic and J. Crew constantly have sales on similar shirts of a much superior quality for a comparable price ($18-25). I would exhaust other options before pulling the trigger on this shirt.

I purchased a lux sateen shirt in black and thought I would get one in a different color and just a little smaller. Well, the fitted version is still a little large. I’m 6’ 1”, 235lbs. I absolutely love the black version of this shirt. It simply will not wrinkle. I wanted more only in different colors (this one is red). What I received is completely different from the black one. I had to steam the wrinkles out of it initially. Then it wrinkled badly while wearing it. It just isn’t the same material. Van Heusen has always been my goto brand when I want a decent, reasonably priced dress shirt. Not so much now because of your advertising department.

I received a used shirt that had clearly been worn and was stained. I have been buying Van Heusen Lux Sateen dress shirts from department stores for years, and even though this shirt had a "Van Heusen" tag on the collar, it did not have the normal Lux Sateen label that all of my other shirts have had. No other labels, tags, folding pins, or shirt forms that you'd expect with a new dress shirt either. The shirt came in a bag labeled "ready to ship," but it certainly wasn't! Not by a long shot. Sweat stains in the armpits and around the collar, and a red soda stain in the middle of the shirt. When I took it out of the shipping bag, I literally gasped at how gross the shirt looked. I'm appalled that Amazon would let this one pass for a brand new dress shirt. I have read other buyers' reviews on Amazon about receiving knock-offs and used-worn-stained clothing items and thought that it was probably just bad luck. Well, it looks like my luck just ran out. I'm promptly returning this shirt for a full refund. Even though this might seem like a great deal on a nice Van Heusen dress shirt, save yourself the trouble and skip this one!

This fits because it's "fitted," meaning that it doesn't bulsge at the stomach like "regular" fit does. Your shirts must never be baggy like that so this is the answer. The Lux material is slightly shiny, soft, comfortable, and isn't too hot or too cold during comfortable weather. It also won't wrinkle! These are the only shirts I wear with a tie or dressy occasion.

I’ve always worn van Heusen fitted shirts and loved them they were quality always fit well but I’m very disappointed in this shirt it looks and feels as though it is made of 300 thread count sheets difficult to iron and they’re charging a premium price for this sub quality shirt.

Nice slim fit, true to size, the right length to be worn out or tucked in. Knocked off one star only because the material is fairly thin, so definitely plan on an under shirt. Otherwise definitely a good deal for the price and ironed well.

I ordered 5 Van Heusen dress shirts through Amazon.ca, all 5 were the same size in my order. I referred to and followed the size chart for guidance. The only difference was that all 5 were different colours (bear in mind that I've been buying my own workwear for over 50 years, so I know what I'm doing when it comes to knowing what size clothes I wear and what brands I like). All 5 were delivered as expected and all 5 were different sizes in reality...the size tags all said the same thing but the fit of all 5 were different. Sleeves were far too long on a few and the body too long on a few...I think one of them actually sort of fit correctly so I did wear it but the rest (the other 4), never got worn and they're so large that I can't even give them away (I'm a tall guy). And I know that the return policy would have allowed me to return them but I am a terrible returner. I think I speak for a lot of your online shoppers on that front...I just eat the cost and chalk it up to "what I learned today". Lesson learned was I need to try on my clothes before I buy them...so online clothes shopping for me personally is off my to do list.

Was not the proper fit for what I was looking for, nice shirt and good service.
