This is really a great tool for the price. I used it to log the temps. for a new "smart pump" that I installed for a client. Set it to log every minute and was able to discover an issue with cold water moving backwards thru the pump. Then I moved the sensor and discovered that the tank outlet temp. was set too high through the tempering valve and got these fixed before they became an issue. One reviewer said that the temperature on theirs was way off, mine was within 0.7 degrees (compared to a certified calibrated thermometer), the software allows you to add or subtract to adjust the calibration so that is a non issue. Other loggers that I looked at were either way more expensive or didn't have the features. This is a great tool for HVAC or plumbing trades to see how your setup is working without having to sit there and watch the unit all day. The parameter screen lets you set up everything exactly how you want it, turn it on and off in the field and download to a graph for simple view of what's going on, save as a JPEG for future reference. Temp. or humidity can be used separately or together. You do need to download it to a computer to view the data though.

We have been having problems with excess water build up and overflow in the drip pan of our Sub-Zero refrigerator. The heater that is supposed to evaporate the water doesn't seem to be working properly despite multiple repairs. But how do I prove it isn't working correctly? Enter the Elitech Data Logger GSP-6. I set it to record temperature at 1 minute intervals. I now have a clear graph of a week's worth of data showing how the temperature of the water in the drip pan cycles between 72 and 82 degrees every few hours, which is not enough to evaporate the water. A senior service tech is now scheduled, based on this data. Finger crossed. This device is a quarter the price of other brands of data loggers that I looked at. The software is perfectly serviceable (I'm on a Mac). I was a little unsure how to set some things up, but trial and error and poking around on the desktop app were enough, along with other users' comments in reviews. There are a lot of features in the "Parameters" tab so you can really customize how this thing works. It is super easy to unplug the unit from the sensor cable and plug it in to my Mac via USB to download the data. The re-connect the unit to the sensor cable to continue collecting more data. Some people complain that the English translation of the manual isn't that great. It's not, but you know what - who cares? At least Elitech does provide written documentation, unlike many companies today who give you a scrap of paper with a few pictograms to scratch your head to. I struggled with some of the wording, like "to start press the button until the light flashes out." What is flashes out? But once I figured out what they meant by "flashes out" I started used that expression myself. Altogether, this is a very reasonably priced product that is a must-have if you need to monitor temperature and want to download a graph and data of the results. Be prepared to put on your thinking cap to figure out the software, but it is worth a bit of effort. I haven't used the humidity sensor yet but it could be handy some day. For now I'm keeping the humidity sensor in the surprisingly nice box that the data logger is packaged in. The box is a high quality you don't see much of today and even has a nice magnetic closing flap.

I am still waiting to receive my full order. I placed an order for one box of 10 units. I received ONE box with ONE unit. Then I complained. I received two more boxes - one with five and one with one. I am still two items short. I have to say I did get a response the very next day after the initial complaint. But I am still waiting for my order to be fully complete.

Product works well amd battery is great. Easy imterface program to use. However, even after downloading and installing the software- it never installs locally, but stays as an application file meaning if your company/computer does not have you set up for admin privileges this creates issues as you cant run the program. However, if thos os not an issue for you these work great.

I'm impressed with this little data logger. I've used it to confirm cooling and defrost cycles in my fridge/freezer, to figure out a humidifier problem with my heat exchanger, and check the temperatures in my little wine cellar. I also had a look at how our home's termperatures climb in the morning and fall in the evening, which helped me to properly set up our thermostat. The display is very easy to read and the one-button control works well to start logging data. I love that the temperature and humidity sensors are external. This allows me to place the sensors inside a cavity and still read the display while it's sampling data. The Windows-based software that I had to download from their site works well. It seems to have everything I need, including a graph of the samples data that includes just temperature, just humidity, or both. I didn't give it five stars because the software could use some cleaning up. It's clearly written by a Chinese dude, so there are a few spelling mistakes. But more importantly, there are a few oddities. When I exported data to excel, the data is in text form rather than number form. So in excel, when I tried to create a chart, excel was not happy. I had to play around and convert various cells to the proper formats. Also, the only way I can figure out to clear old data and start a new sample is to change a value in the parameter setup. There is probably a more direct way, but I haven't found it. If the software UI were cleaned up a little bit, I'd give this product a 5 star rating.

This little data logger is pretty cool! It is really basic but does a great job. I used it first day to check my fridge, set it up, put in in there, pulled it out the next day and bam, there is the data! A lot of reviews say the software is poor, I disagree, the software is very basic (dowloaded from their website) but it works really reliably. It allows you to very easily export to Excel which was my goal anyway, from there you can slice and dice the data and graph as you please. I guess I would rather have the basic, reliable, software than something complex, after all it's a temperature logger, it's just a bunch of data anyway. Also in regards to support, I did contact them with a question, obviously China based, and they were extremely helpfula nd quick via email. Highly recommended!

I couldn't be more pleased with this data logger. As an energy manager I use data loggers a lot, however my old $500 "professional" temperature logger was such an ornery, undependable piece of junk that I finally tossed it and bought this little baby. It is easy to use, intuitive, and does way more tricks than my old one. It is really an amazing instrument especially considering the price. Kuudos Elitech!

Measures temperature and humidity accurately. Supplied cords are about 1.5 m long which were sufficient for me. Device has a magnetic back which can stick to any metallic surface. It can store many readings and present it in graphical format. I purchased it to measure the temperature in my refrigerator. However then I bought cordless device instead of this depending on my specific need.

まず初めにPCに接続して専用ソフトからパラメータを設定しなければならないことを英文マニュアルから読み取らなければならないこと、センサーのケーブルが意外に太くて冷蔵庫内の温度を外から計測できないこと、の2点を除くと不満はありません。これのおかげでエアコンの温度センサー付近の温度が人間のいる場所とかなり異なることや、エアコンを自動運転にした時の冷房／除湿の切り替わりの条件などがわかってきたなど、いろいろと楽しめています。
