Perfect fit into my dust collection system. It is a little on the loose side, but when the DC is on, it creates a good seal. When opened, there is a bit of an air leak but this is common with all blast gates having a cleanout path. I may make a foam adapter to see if I can help block the gap when open.

This is a well-constructed, 6" blast gate. I mounted easily to the dust collector with a Powertec rubber adapter boot. It operates smoothly. I like it better than the plastic blast gates that I have used for years.

I like these blast gates. They work as well as any other metal gate I've used. I've had some of these in operation for three years, and no complaints. They're a vast improvement over plastic gates. – Zero maintenance self-cleaning gate ensures no loss of suction over time due to sawdust build up. – Thumb screw easily adjusts gate friction so they move easily, but aren't affected by gravity or machine vibration. My only frustration – which is the same for all metal gates that I've tried – the hose flanges are very short. If they were 1/2" longer, the hoses would be much easier to attach.
