What are these model numbers related to,1/45 and 4/65

James,It's all about Dremmel's habit of selling multi tools in cased kits with varying numbers of big attachments and loads of small accessories, rather than just the tool on its own. For example, I bought a Dremmel 4000 - 4/65. That consisted of a 4000 corded tool with 4 attachments and 65 accessories all in a hard case. Attachments are such things as flexible drives and chuck, routing guides, circular hole cutting guides etc. Accessories are the little grinding wheels, drills and polishers which you stick in the chuck. So, in your question, 1/45 will have one attachment and 45 accessories, 4/65 will have four attachments and 65 accessories. The larger number in front of the hyphen will be the tool model number where mine was a model 4000 corded, hence I bought a 4000 - 4/65. By the way I love it; good luck with yours. regards JD

Can this tool cut through a steel pc case side panel, looking to add a window to it and I could always buy a new case but that's alot of effort haha

Yes - I was amazed at how powerful this Dremel 4000 is. I have cut through car bodywork (1.6mm Toyota Landcruiser sills) using the small cutting disks and the carbide burrs eat through anything. The disks don't last long so buy a pack before you start. An excellent tool.

Is this item supplied with a flex shaft?

Is on the dremel tools is warranty ?

My son purchased a Dremel as a Christmas present back in 2017. I used it twice and then it stopped working. I consequently contacted Dremel and explained that I didn't have the receipt or proof of purchase, needless to say they weren't interested and didn't respond. I have now stripped the unit, obviously invalidating the warranty, and found that the field winding had broken. I will order a replacement from Ebay but would add that the quality of components within the unit are extremely poor. I would NOT recommend these units to anyone and if the winding was any more expensive than it is I would throw it in the bin.
