Lava Lite Classic Black Wax/Clear Silver Based Liquid Glass Metal Lava Lamp, New, Classic retro-style lava lamp for home, dorm room, or office

It's not as black as I thought it would be but still looks cool. It more silver than black.

The Lamp base and top look nice. The Black Wax might look great - but the water is as cloudy as skim milk. We have done everything we can to remediate, other than changing the water - which the directions say NOT to do. So, the lamp is a HUGE disappointment.Is what it is. Sometimes you just strike out.

Well I mean it’s cool but comes cloudy follow the directions to get it un cloudy but that doesn’t work and they say well send it back and get a new one it’s just a pain in the butt

I received the item, followed the instructions to get the coil to the bottom of the glass, plugged it in and nothing worked. I fiddled with the bulb a bit and got it to turn on. After 20 seconds, it flickered and stopped working. I think the bulb went out with less than a minute of use. So now I get to order a new bulb before ever getting to see the lamp in action.

The product seen in the preview images is nothing like the actual lamp. The *clear* liquid was foggy and yellowish in coloration, no amount of time letting it settle would fix this. The metal base of the lamp was damaged and bent when it arrived although the packaging was fine, so I would assume it left the manufacturing facility like this. Overall very disappointed that a lamp costing three times as much as similar products from the same manufacturer performed so poorly. Another lamp ordered the same day with a different color combo looks and works great, but this model / color combination seems to have it's own issues.

This is a cool addition to my game room, although it is pretty cold in the basement, and if it drops below 70 degrees F, the bottle and wax stop working. Not a big deal, but be aware that cold temps affect performance. Looks great!
