I really like these. I was a little skeptical about the plastic ones, but they have strong magnets in the base, and the color coding lets me see at a glance which tray to grab, as each tray can be used for different parts. By using one tray for each type of part, the parts don't get mixed up together in a single tray, which means I don't have to go digging through the mess to find the one I need. Then when I'm finished with whatever project I'm working on, all the parts are still separated, making it easy to get them back into their respective storage bins.I would give 5 stars, except the plastic seems a little flimsier than it should be. Nevertheless, I like them enough that I will probably get another set. Although it would be nice if I could get two new colors of the plastic ones next time.

I had always thought these things looked like a good idea. I seldom get through a project without spending an inordinate amount of time looking for some small screw or other part, or just loosing it. Since using these holders the only question remaining is; 'why did I wait so long?' Sturdy construction, clean smooth finish, strong magnet that holds parts as well as sticking to metal surfaces for security. I recommend this product.

Excellent way to keep up with your nuts, bolts, washers and screws, etc. small metal objects especially. My wife lost several nuts and bolts while assembling some things in a flower bed. I provided with a parts tray and she lost no more. Saved a lot of time looking for and keeping track of the items. Great for many types of bench work. I have these and several others and have used them for years. I keep one in every tool bag.

These little bowls are perfect for holding small parts, be it washers and screws, or ring markers and scissors for knitting, or straight pins next to a sewing machine. I also like it that the bottom of the bowl is magnetized which holds it steady on a metal surface. One thing I dislike: the packaging. Not sure why manufacturers make packages so difficult to open. This is one of those deals where you need a pair of sturdy scissors to separate the heavy plastic that has been fused together. Try not to slice yourself with the sharp plastic edges in the process.

We like 'em The two colored bowls are plastic and seems like they could break if dropped. The two metals are very sturdy. Magnets are nice and strong. Here's an impromptu game: place a bowl on a smooth table. Holding one of the other bowls in the air, try to move the bowl on the table across the table using the magnetic attraction. If the bowls snap together, start over.

Love these. Solved 3 problems.1) My sister-in-law hangs lots of pics, and continually drops nails and wires. Not with these.2) My wife wears wigs and continually drops bobby pins and clips. Now I can sweep one of these over the carpet by the bed, or throw a single one at the tray. Problem solved.3) I do lots of home repairs. I continually find extra screws, clips, etc. So, I hung 2 of these upside down under a wire shelf. I just slap the loose junk up into the tray, and it's there, out of the way until I need it.

I was content using the trays to hold parts and some small tools especially in a shop. I set it up so each pan was at each wheel and tire. Keeping the lugs/valve caps in a specific place and lessing the chance of lug nuts getting lost. The red one fell off of the lift and shattered all that is left is just the magnet.

If you’re even reading these reviews then you’ve made it far enough and just need to have these in your life. Even when the magnets don’t work (like, with stainless steel) it still functions as a try to help keep your sanity. Similar to a broken escalator that just becomes stairs.Highly recommended. Likely your best bet here given price, quality and quantity.
