Casio Analog A1000MB-1BEF

I bought myself an A1000MB-1BEF as a Christmas present, and I barely wear it because the screen is so dark I can't actually read it. It's unusable 95% of the time, unless you use the backlight, which doesn't work in strong sunlight, and impacts battery life.The watch almost redeemed itself with the stainless steel case and the secure, comfortable and easily adjustable bracelet. That said, it still gets one star. How useful is a well built watch if you can't see what it says?The crystal is mineral glass, not sapphire. It's a step up from the plastic on the A168 and A700, but I'd like to see sapphire implemented at this price point.If the A1000MB-1BEF had dark numbers on a light display, it'd get 4 stars, and improved water resistance and a sapphire crystal would earn it 5, but the display on this one is inexcusably bad. A1000s are brilliant, but learn from my mistake. Don't waste your money on this particular model.

Elegant design, great watch. The only minor downside is display, which is a bit harder to read when the light level is low. But you get used to it.
