I've had these installed for about two weeks now and so far I'm really impressed. As other reviewer have said these speakers pack a punch at high volume. Unlike a lot of outdoor speaker they remain crystal clear and have fantastic low end for such a small cabinet, but what has really impressed me is how good they sound as the volume is lowered. I've found with a lot of outdoor speakers I've tried that they start to sound muffled at lower background listening levels but not these they remain nice and clear even when barely audible. I've also been pleasantly surprised at how even they sound over a really wide radius. No matter what volume you intend to use these at if you want an outdoor speaker with great sound and a wide listening range you've found them!

Prime lists these speakers as BlueTooth-enabled; they are not. They're hardwire, and a pair require at least a 120 watt amp to push these 8-ohm jewels (eg, JBL VMA 1120) in sequence or parallel. That explained, they sound exquisite in a 30 x 40 outdoor space w enough loud (top - 90 dB), and pair with a TV w the right app.

One sounds good, but the second one is all distorted and does not function properly and Amazon refuses to replace it. I do not recommend purchasing through Amazon. This is a lot of money to spend on a defective speaker.

Best commercial speaker we have used for background and foreground music. Deep , rich sound and very easy to mount and angle.

Set these up for a rooftop bar to replace existing speakers. They handle a little more power at 70v than the old ones but sound infinitely better. They have a smoother low end sound. I would recommend these speakers.

They have a quality sound. Worth the money.

Old JBL Control 28 High-Output Two-Way 8-Inch Indoor/Outdoor Speaker Pair I bought one pair around 3 years ago at Goodwill Thrift Store in Orlando, FL. for around $75. I tested them in the store to make sure they were working, I cleaned them when I got home, and I replaced the old Nile speakers that I had outside. I was impressed with the sound because it sounds better than the 2 expensive Klipsch speakers that I have on my pool deck. The bass was punchy, overall, and the sound was excellent. The tricky part was mounting them because they didn't have any instructions. I found a YouTube video in a different language (no en español) to figure it out. You have to take out the JBL logo to mount it. Anyways, it looks very nice and people that come over like the sound.
