Mine is printed "MADE IN USA" on the insulation. Temco is a great company to deal with, high quality and exactly as advertised (besides being very helpful if you have any questions). They also have a great warranty, but I have never had to use it.

Q: Would this wire work for installing a 3000/6000 inverter in a semi?

A large percentage of purchases are for exactly that purpose (connecting inverters). That is what I use it for. Be sure to research and select the correct guage and use a fuse. Yes it is great for welders, inverters, jumper cables, etc. Basically anything DC with high amps where you want flexible wiring (that's a relative term when dealing with high amp wire).
