Tech books can be a snoozefest, but this author has a great personality and adds it to his writing to make this book easier to consume.

Comp sci student here! Currently studying for CEH to break into the CyberSec field. CEH certification is a must. These books will help to learn the material needed to pass this exam for this cert.Yes. There are free and open source sources of information( including a pdf of this book, if you know where to look) but nothing beats having a hard copy of the book that you can open, make notes and come back yo everytime is necessary.( Maybe I am old-fashioned)If you are studying for CEH or maybe you are just curious to learn the techniques the are used by penetration testers ( because being a hacker is a mindset not someone that types fast and shouts loudly "I am in!") BUY THESE BOOKS. These books are a standard and for a good reason. The information is up to date( is re-edited every 3-4 years) and is recommended on every website that references this course (CEH).Good luck!HACK THE PLANET!

Useful, technical and good study material

Book is good but missing materials. Customer service helpful but 5 chapter's worth of answers still missing in my book

This is a really good book. I have read a number of technical text, and this is by far the most engaging author. Unfortunately, the spine of the book is coming apart after less than 3 weeks of ownership. I will end up buying a glue stick to put it back together. Not a big deal. I have not taken the test yet to be able to provide results after reading this book. The practice test book is holding up just fine.
