Would not suggest this.
it is very difficult to use. The adjustments need something that clicks at different levels. It is very hard to adjust and then the slightest bump on anything and you have to start over. you can not get to the camera without removing it and then again, starting over with the balancing.

Wow. Just wow, The iGlide Is AMAZING!
Before we start I would like to say I have a youtube video featuring footage with this, and I am VERY pleased with the footage. Just search my name "Matt Cornelius" and you will find my channel and video called "Glidecam iGlide - Test Drive Impressions - Flying With Panasonic Lumix LX7" *EDIT* I also have a new video out now "How to Balance The iGlide Glidecam + Flying Tips For Any Glidecam" So look for that one as well.(BTW I have flying tips in this review as well) I have spent hours upon hours reading articles and watching tutorial videos and watching people use glidecams and I have took what I learned and will pass it to you in this review/tutorial.This product is well worth the money for the results being delivered. It suprised me how good it was the first time I used it. Keep in mind what this was designed for. Beginner to Professional use for smaller cameras. KEEP YOUR DEMANDS REASONABLE. This isn't a professional Glidecam 2000 designed for a Canon 5D to be sitting on top. BUT, with practice you can achieve professional results I believe with the iGlide.Lightweight aircraft aluminum makes this easy to store and carry with you anywhere. With this being for lightweight cameras I it can be harder to control sometimes when compared to a professional unit but with practice it can be achievable.SETUP: Yes, VERY Tedious but once you get it dialed in it is awesome. First of all, follow the instructions. Don't give up, have patience and you will get it. Watch tutorials and get an understanding of how the balancing works. This don't come with fine tune adjustment knobs. You have to take your time and barely move the sliders and weights on bottom a micrometer at a time to achieve balance. Don't let this scare you, you will get it.GUIDING HAND: Since this unit is lightweight it is hard to guide, but with patience you will get it down. I find guiding is best with a 2 finger pinch grip right under the gymbal. A light touch is enough to send this off balance so aquire the skill. You don't learn guitar the first hour you pick it up do you? Practice Practice.TECHNIQUE: As I said in the video I believe it Is 45% technique. Keep your arm at a 45 degree angle while shooting. BEND your knees and walk like you are sneaking up behind someone. Bending your knees isolates muscle movement and keeps it to a minimum so it will not shake your hand. *THIS IS IMPORTANT... A LOT OF PEOPLE GET SHAKY VIDEO BECAUSE OF THIS AND BLAME IT ON THE iGLIDE*PRACTICE THE RIGHT WAY: Get in your living room, walk back and forth with proper body mechanics for as long as you can. Run also. Go outside, practice walking around a tree keeping note of how your technique is doing. Watch your video and look for areas to improve.GETTING THE "BUTTERY SMOOTH FLYING EFFECT" : Focus the center of your camera on an object and keep it in the center of the camera, and walk towards your subject always keeping the object in middle of your screen, this gets rid of unnecessary sway of your arms and body and helps give the illusion that your camera is flying in a straight line. (I am not saying this is how you need to use it )but I found it can help if your trying to find that "smoothy butterness"USING SIDESTEPPING: Often times we can get sway with our glidecam if we try to walk around an object keeping it at the center of focus. I observed Devin Graham doing this a ton in his behind-the-scenes videos. As you begin to circle an object side step into it. This eliminates you trying to spin using the guide hand as much and creates a smooth pan. (Like the tire swing in my video)FINAL THOUGHTS: Once you get used to balancing this It is all up to you. Devin Graham even said in an interview "People always ask me why my video isn't as smooth as yours?" I been using this for 9 years he replied... Look at this as learning to play guitar, you will get the hang of it after practicing . Keep your demands reasonable and practice practice practice! Always look at ways to improve! Like I said, I believe 45% is technique!I believe some of the negative reviews you have seen is due to improper body mechanics while using this. You just don't pick this thing up and expect it to look like a professional shot wedding video with a glidecam 2000. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE, you will get it down!

Not built for GoPro
There was not enough weight at the mount to be able to use a GoPro. You can add your own weight, which I did, but I was not thrilled with the final outcome and sent it back. I figured my GoPro was meant to be used for action/adventure and not trying to get smooth walking shots.

A little disapointing for the weight limit
Yes its for small cameras I know, but I was disappointed because if you have a quick release plate attached and then you couple that with your small compact camera and BAM you are already over the weight limit. I was also a tad disappointed because even my camcorder was just too heavy for it. And would need additional weights etc at the bottom which of course would take it off the spec of 14 ounces. So if its just a small compact point and shoot or a small action camera and nothing else you are fine. But add a little accessory to it, mic, quick release plate and you will need a bigger stabilizer.I just think they should of had a threshold of at LEAST 24 ounces. Which would be fine for the small cameras while still keeping it away from a DSLR class stabilizer. ...14 ounces is just too limiting. And the price point is too high for that.

Great size. Easy balance!
I'm a hardcore Gopro user. I've owned many stabilizers in the past from the Curve, feiyu G3, lensse, eBay 3axis handheld... The latter is which I prefered most. But I wanted one that's fluid and more natural in motion.I achieved perfect 3 seconds drop time within 5 min. I simply followed MicBergsma YouTube on how to. I used a Gopro 3+, Gopro tripod mount, normal case with LCD back pack. This additional weight helped my balance.I will be shooting a wedding this weekend and hope for some good results. In the mean time I give it a 4 star because there is slight wobble during fast side movements. Also the gimbal tends to follow ur control hand when u turn.

DO NOT BUY- Horrible Quality control. Bearing glued on crooked or the main shaft is bent?
I bought this to use while hiking combined to keep my cell phone steady while filming. Balancing was tricky. I added a quick release that had it's own levels in it. This made balancing much easier. How ever there were no fine adjustment knobs as other higher end models have. But I can deal with that. I tried using it after balancing and noticed the main bearing on the handle attachment has too much friction. Ok, So I took it apart to look at the bearing, That is when I noticed the bearing is glued onto the main shaft, Crooked. So, the whole thing wobbles when you turn the shaft. Which completely explains that why when I balanced the unit, then started using it, it would rotate to a different position once I moved the handle around or changed hands. Maybe this one is just a bad glue job? I dunno? It's on it's way back to Amazon. I was really hoping this would work as it is super small and light weight for a Glidecam, and would be perfect for my needs....if it worked. I am now returning #2 and will not be getting another.

iGlide Vs. Stedicam Curve
I was looking to get the Stedicam Curve for $99.95. After reviewing it on YouTube a number of times i came across this and instantly changed my mind. For a little bit of a higher price its worth it. The iGlide is much more durable, made with aluminum rather then the Stedicam Curve being made with plastic. The iGlide is made with a 3 axis gimbal that makes for the smooth shots. Another letdown of the Curve is it's limitations. It's only made with for the GoPro while the iGlide is made for any camera 4 to 14 ounces. Which is prety much any handy cam. The balencing is tricky but with patience you will get the hang of it. The only "con" i have for this is the fact that it's so light, if you were filming in windy conditions, the iGlide would sway due to how light it is. Overall this is a great product.

One Star
No way to stabilize it. Using as a paperweight to remind me not to throw away my money again!

Should come with a quick release to allow easy camera battery changes
Very hard to balance with crude sliding top plates and awkward screws. Should come with a quick release to allow easy camera battery changes. Should come with extra screws. Filming on the move, it is very hard to to point at what you want to shoot - pointing hand upsets stabilizing. Good luck.

Schade... Ich muss mir also doch ein elektrisches Gimbal besorgen.
