Got the key cut at an ACE Hardware- Lowe’s wouldn’t cut it. Watched a video on You—Tube. Took 3 mins to program the car. 3 months later, still works great. Looks exactly like a factory Nissan Key. Works all functions when programmed correctly. Online videos help a lot ! Good Buy

The programmer works fine but the bundle was for the programmer and the key and only the programmer was in the box.

Was very easy to program multiple keys for the same vehicle. Locksmith wanted more than purchase price to program just one key.Well worth the price. Oh..forgot to mention fast and free shipping...

We had a previous positive experience using Tom’s Keys 🔑 and the SIMPLE KEY brand programmer for a different vehicle which was a 2015 Dodge grand Caravan so we figured we’d give them a whirl on one of our other cars.We realize that it’s almost impossible to make a video showing every year model of every car, so we weren’t surprised that there was no specific video from Toms Keys for our 2016 Nissan Versa or VERSA Note vehicle. The best they seemed to have on YouTube was a 2016 Nissan Rogue so we watched that video.So we bought a brand new key fob and programmer unit suitable for the Nissan 2016 Versa as Toms Keys said it should work for a Versa Note, and this programmer was slightly different (more technologically advanced) than the 2015 caravan in that this new one actually had a little digital display on the back of the box that was supposed to help walk you through the steps.Without getting into too many details, at one point the display registered “ERROR CODE 5” … Which is not specifically discussed anywhere in the paperwork that came with the simple key kit from Toms Keys. When I looked through the paperwork to see who to contact at TOMS KEYS for guidance, we were left with a reference phone number to the company that actually makes the simple key kit… Which is why Toms Keys got a slight deduction in my rating score for customer service which was poor because they really didn’t provide timely, useful service.The Toms Keys service video on YouTube for the 2016 Nissan ROGUE also incorrectly said that all keys… Both the new one and any existing ones that currently work… Would have to have their door lock, door open, and panic buttons all re-paired -up to the system. This turned out to be 100% false!Obviously the new key needed to be paired and have the buttons activated for locking or unlocking, but the simple key device told us the existing working key did not need to have its buttons reset or re-paired up and they were right as they still worked fine!Another knock on this particular experience with Toms Keys service and the simple key kit was that when I called the maker of the kit it was a complete waste of time… Because they just answered the phone and I told them I needed to speak to someone about an error code and they said they were going to connect me to service and all they did was feed me back into their phone Que that only gave me options that mention nothing about the simple key kit… It talked about other programming kits that perhaps are used at either hardware stores, or dealerships, or whatever … and when I picked the only one that made any kind of sense, the system kicked me out… but it was all very confusing and a significant waste of my time.After getting error code 5 in the display window AND THE PROGRAMMER REFUSING TO ALLOW ME TO PROCEED OR BACK UP … it just kept beeping … and getting nowhere with help from Toms Keys nor the manufacturer of the simple key kit, I just reflected for a moment and said “hey, I wonder if by some miracle from above this new key could actually start the car … let’s try it out… And the car started despite having received the error code 5 in the display window!Once that ERROR CODE 5 worry had been wiped out of our minds, we were able to go back to the written directions as well as the on screen display and program the lock and unlock buttons on the new key in less than a minute!So, I now have two experiences TOMS KEYS … One was completely excellent 5/5 and then this one was probably about a 3.5/5 because it takes this company 1 to 2 days to even respond to generic email or voicemail inquiries about their products Prior to purchasing… so overall Toms Keys gets a four out of five following 2 purchase interactions with them on two separate cars.But in the end, both car keys were programmed and I saved an absolute ton of money… With at least $60 saved over the dealership on the Nissan and more than that on the Dodge grand Caravan. I would order a simple key again in a heartbeat… Just realizing that the different models of cars and the different programming plug-in kits do not have all the bugs worked out of them to match the videos produced by Tom’s Keys🔑 . I need an additional key for my 2013 frontier and I noticed that this was an all-in-one unit with the key on the remote itself so I bought it. I was very hesitant to continue because if I mess this up none of my keys would work but the instructions were super simple the video on YouTube was excellent and it took me less than 7 minutes to pair three of my keys and the remotes without a hiccup. I definitely recommend this product it's half the price what the dealership wants and the only thing you need to pay for is $5 any locksmith to cut the key for you.Or you need to do is follow the unscreen instructions and you're all set
