Works great but costly batteries and high temperature alarm limitation
Using 2 of these as door and temperature sensor for my fridge and freezer. With the reporting set at a meaningful level (every 5 minutes, 1 degree Celsius increments) to make sure that the temperature doesn't go into the danger zone too long, the battery of this device only lasted about 6 months. With a low battery the reporting sometimes won't transmit, even for the basic door sensor.I guess you could reduce the sensitivity even further and rely more on the alarm thresholds but I prefer gathering the raw data. Also, the high temperature alarm is useless for a freezer as the lowest it can be set at is 0 celcius (32 Fahrenheit).Instead of buying a new set of batteries (cheapest I could find was $10 for 4), I hard wired them to a 3.6V charger (B0108STRZM for $12) and I'm not worried about the batteries running out anymore! I could even increase the reporting sensitivity.

Great Temperature Sensor, Works With Vera
I've had a couple of these operating with my Vera Secure for about 6 months now. One is inside my freezer, and one outside on my water feature. The one in the freezer amazed me in that, despite being surrounded by metal except for the door seals, it still reliably gets a signal out to my controller. (Yes, I have the whole sensor in there, not just the probe!) I was wondering how the battery would do in the cold. It dropped from 100% to about 80% right after going in, but it has been working for 6 months now and is reporting 66%. I have it set to measure temperature every 5 minutes, and send out a report for temperature changes of 0.3°C (~0.5°F).I have a second one outdoors with a DROK submersible temperature probe in the water of my water feature. I use it to monitor when the water temperature gets near freezing in the winter. On the flip side, it endured the 110°F temperatures of Arizona summer with no problem. (Yes, it goes below freezing at my house, too!)The only negative I have with these is the battery. I have dozens of other sensors around the house that all use CR123's. This one uses a 14250, which is sold through fewer sources and it forces me to keep another type of battery around.

Z-Wave Plus Version (firmware 3.2) does not work with SmartThings
I did actually receive the Z-Wave Plus version of the sensor (firmware 3.2). I was able to add it to SmartThings. BUT, SmartThings does not see it as an open/close sensor. In fact, SmartThings does not indicate any status whether sensor opened or closed.Really wanted this sensor to work since it is smaller that most other door/window sensors.Device also uses a somewhat expensive battery ER14250 3.6V (1/2AA). I have never heard of any device here in the USA that uses this strange battery.Oh well, I guess I go with the Ecolink Door/Window Z-Wave Plus Sensor DW-ZWAVE2.5 which seems to be working OK without issue. The Ecolink is humongous compared to the Fibaro.

Different product now being delivered
The FGK-101 has been replaced by the FGDW-002. This is not the same product, and does not support the external temperature sensor. Still works great as a door/window/temperature sensor.

Worked great until it didn't - tech support was great, it’s working now.
I used this with a dallas temp sensor for my outdoor wood boiler to report temp. The battery went dead or so I thought at the end of last winter. Just bought a new 1/2AA battery and it won't work, reset, nothing. Seems dead. If Fibaro support gets back to me and helps me get it going, I'll change my review. It's less than a year old so still under warranty, I would just need to ship it to Poland from USA....right.**update**They do have US tech support. I sent it in and they tested it for me and sent it back. Not sure if it was something I was doing wrong? In any case, it’s working now. Very happy. -1 star for pain in the butt resetting of the device.

Pricey but works perfectly
This worked perfectly for monitoring my upright freezer temperature along with the DS18B20 temperature sensor. The good news is this connected to SmartThings perfectly, connected to the temp sensor perfectly, installed easily and works with the smartapp “Too Hot” from the IDE list. All in all this took me 20 minutes and has reported perfectly since. The downside is this is already down to 86% battery after a week (maybe just a bad battery on arrival) and again the price is just high. Unfortunately for me it’s still cheaper than a freezer full of meat going bad (which just about happened) so it’s worth shelling out the cash.

No tuve su dinero
No funciona sólo. Necesita otros equipos y eso no estaba en la descripción.

Works fine with smartthings
Working fine with smart things both as an door/window sensor and as a temp sensor with an attached DS18B20 temp sensor.4 stars instead of 5 because somehow I got my unit in a "tampered" state and I can't figure out how to reset it. Doesn't matter because I'm using it as a temp sensor, but still...
