Will this work from the usbc port on a dell latitude 7290 12" laptop to a dell monitor with displayport connection?

Hope this helps. I’ve used it on 2 different Lenovo laptops with USB C ports as well as a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and an iPad Pro so I would suggest it probably will. As long as your laptop supports video out via USB C you should be fine.

Yes, I use it for that daily.
