Puppy training tray

Smart paw . Love love these they are very well made I raise puppies and they are great I have 4 and tell my puppy parents and show them how well they are made and really easy to clean they are raised up so puppies are not walking in the pee on the pee pads I have been using them for 4 years and they still look great. Very well made.

We've used another brand of a very similar pee pad holder for years with our pug puppies but they were just too small for our current heeler puppy, he ran out of room to potty much too soon. That company didn't make a larger version, so I ended up trying this one. I use this pad holder inside of an exercise pen connected to a crate, to create a long term confinement area. We are gone for 11 hours a day, 4 days a week and that is the only time he's allowed and expected to use this. He uses it like he should rather than the floor, his paws don't get wet as the grate is well above the pee pad. I have to fold an XL 26" x 30" pee pad up somewhat to get it to fit. The only true negative I have found is due to the tab design this one has, you have to tilt the top piece in order to remove it and poop rolls right off of it and onto the floor during clean-up. That will not be an issue for dogs utilizing it as a pee pad only. The other brand I used didn't have that issue it clamped down on both sides with no tabs --therefore doesn't have the roll off issue. It however did not have the grate suspended well above the pad to avoid the wet paws issue. This pad holder is very sturdy, more so than the others I've had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one to others. I do wish it was available in an even larger size, as once he's pooped on it a couple of times (he tends to poop and squat walk) he leaves himself no clear area to pee, so then he tends to only put his front feet on and pee and some gets on the floor. I'm rating it 5 stars, as I believe it works perfectly for a "pee pad" holder. There is no way however for my puppy to hold it (#2) for 11 hours, so he must utilize it for that also. Sidenote- we are currently building him a small safe grassy potty area outside connected to his confinement area inside our home via dog door, so he won't have to use this pad holder forever while we are away at work.

I can’t understand some of the poor reviews on this product. I bought two of these pee pad holders for my new Yorkie puppy and this is the best thing ever. I put one upstairs and one downstairs. I first used just the pee pads by themselves but he kept dragging them around the house and chewing them into little pieces. I thought to myself, there has to be something that holds them and that he can’t get at.& So I looked on Amazon and decided on these, and I am so glad I did. These are awesome and he uses them without fail. I was using disposable pee pads but there are none that come in the needed size for this holder without having to fold or use two. Looked again and found the perfect reusable/washable size, which I have no problem using. The grate is not mesh it is made of plastic. If he poops I just pick up with a tissue and dispose of it in the toilet. Urine just flows right through and does not sit on top at all. Very easy to clean with hose if necessary or just a spray bottle of cleaner and paper towel. Very satisfied with this product. Easy to clean, sturdy and durable, holds pad in place with clip lock that my inquisitive and smart puppy can’t open, which is a plus! You won’t be disappointed in buying this product.

This is a sturdy and well constructed wee wee pad holder for the price. We purchased three different holders to try to solve our "shredder-puppy" troubles. This one is compact, discreet, off white, very substantial plastic with good support under the elevated grate. It seems like it would be easy to pop the top grate off to change pads and sanitize the grate daily. However, the clamp can be difficult to open and require both hands so you don't hurt yourself or break all your nails. *(Especially challenging for arthritic hands). We initially worried about how the grate would be underfoot for an 2-4lb puppy, but she has had no problems with it. However, because the grate sits up flush with the border instead of inset into a noticeable boundary edge, she uses is like an elevated seating platform more than a potty station and sometimes poops off the edge. A significant negative is not just about this product, but that WeeWee pads are not made for this size holder and the pad sizing needs to account for 1"+ non absorptive borders all the way around on the pads!! The holder needs approximately 14" x18" pads to maximize absorptive coverage. We have a tiny dog and only need this smallest size pad holder. WeeWee pads are made several inches too small (17"x13" requiring us to overlap multiple small pads) or several inches too large (17"x 23" meaning awkward foldovers) that can make it harder to snap the top on securely. In addition, if there is anything sticking out the edges between the lid and the base, our shredder will do her best to extricate it from the holder, like magic and shred it to bits everywhere in the blink of an eye! 👀 So the hunt is still on for the optimal combination. This is reasonable in terms of price, functionality and aesthetics and we'll see how things go in the training process. Moderately recommended!

Great product for my shorkie. For the small size, use 13" x 17" pads (see photo), not the recommended 15.75" x 19.7" if your dog, like mine, likes to tear at paper. Changing is easy and the little bit of residue on the grating encourages my dog to keep using it.

This puppy pee pee tray has been a total game-changer! My puppy took to it right away—no training needed. He adjusted on the very first time of use, which made the whole potty training process so much easier. What I really love is the built-in clamp that holds the pee pads securely in place. Very easily to assemble, and leaves my floors clean, and dry. It leaves no room for my puppy to drag, chew, or destroy them, which used to be a big issue. It’s also super easy to clean and keeps everything neat and odor-free. Highly recommend this to any pet parent—especially for younger pups who are just learning!

I purchased this for a small puppy, but I didn’t take into account how large this is and the issue cleaning it once the pup goes. It does its job in keeping the puppy from getting at the pad, but I don’t have the time or desire to hose it down after every use. It’s too difficult to clean with a wipe or paper towel and too large to clean in the kitchen sink. So now I just use the bottom, hope the puppy doesn’t chew the paper and learned a lesson in really thinking things through before I purchase them.

This is an amazing product. I have tried so many others over the last six years. Some were ok but this is just excellent. My 2 tiny 5lb pups took to it without any effort on my part. So much so that I ordered another one about 2 hours after receiving the first. If you are thinking this product is expensive, and it is compared to others, think about all those the wasted pads that your dogs chewed/tore up. Those are not cheap. The last straw for me was when my female pup pooped out a 12” piece of blue plastic from a pad she decided to chew up because she was angry. So far my pups have had perfect aim and I am willing to bet that I can use the pads underneath longer than before. And best of all they can’t open the tray to get to the pad. I just pick up poop with tissue and wipe clean with a baby wipe if necessary. I would not hesitate to buy this product again as needed. I bought the bigger trays to fit my pads. Also the grid is perfect for small feet which was a concern. Not sure how easy this is to clean as I just received it one day ago but I’m sure it will be fine. Great purchase! 1 month update: I’ve had these for a month now and I cannot express how useful these are. I have not had to clean up pee once from the floor. My pups are unable to tear up the pads. I am able to use the pads for longer than before as my dogs are quite finicky saving me a lot of money. I was worried they would be difficult to clean but I just use baby wipes to wipe them down and they are clean. I love love love this product. I was not paid to write this and did not receive any incentive. Just want to help other pet parents.
