No way in hell. Get a 40sqf kit and it might be enough if you use sparingly

Q: I have 2 12" subs in my trunk with a powerful amp.I've got a bad rattle at my 3rd brake light.Will lining my trunk with this actually fix the rattle?

I think this stuff is best applied to lightweight panels. I noticed the most improvements when applied to inner and outer door skins and rear deck area. Trunk lid and walls are also good places. In my opinion the nasty rattles from all that musical energy are usually where plastic is vibrating against another hard surface so I have used pieces of carpet, foam, and putty tape to stop noises like that. Loose fitting clips are an area to look out for and sometimes the housings of the lights themselves. My latest install on my TL was two front facing 12s in a sealed box. I basically have a sealed box that plays into a cabin that is sealed off from the trunk. This keeps noises down considerably.

Q: can I leave the backing and not peel it off?

It needs to stick to the panel for it to work
