These pads are impregnated with medication that is released upon any wound moisture getting into it. A specialty nurse told me to spray Flutucasone Propionate (Flonase) onto it and then apply to the woubd as it's a steroid and would help healing which acted as a miracle getting an awful wound to heal. Highly recommend Poly Mem.

I was hoping for a simple solution, but the Pill Pulverizer did not work as I expected. Since mother is not able to swallow her vitamin pills, it was advised that we grind them up and put them in juice. Evidently the vitamin pills were too hard for this type of pill crusher to grind up. I resorted to buying an electric coffee grinder that I use solely for vitamins. The Pill Pulverizer may be OK for small round tablets, but not for larger pills.

Works well, low stick factor to the skin

It does not stick to the wounds at all. I was getting real nervous when I started using them about changing the pads but they pealed off with NO STICKING!!! It absorbed very well, drawing out all liquids and holding them from the wound to the trash. The wounds are cleaner and healing faster since I started using them.
