I installed this on a 2001 BMW 525i rear right tail light. It was not a pefect fit. Some modifications and swearing were a necessary part of the install but, once installed, it works as it should.

I loved that it came so fast to my house and everything works on my car now... Thank you Amazon for the help!

The description claims it fits E39, but it doesn't, at least not for the facelift one with Celis tail light. The tab design is different if you look at this compared to the OE 61138369702. In OE, the tab is attached to the front of the connector with two "legs" on the side, but this one has a flat piece in the middle. This push against a part in the tail light so the connector cannot go in.Besides this, it's well made though, the tolerance is good enough so it can slide in the socket directly. Shame it got the design wrong.

Does not BMW 550 plug is all wrong don't know why they sent me this it does even match up to the bulb carrier that they match with it bulb carrier right plug wrong

Not so universal. Did not fit. Had to many wires. Also wrong size wires. Does not work for a bmw x5 as amazon claimed.

Amazon claimed this part fit my vehicle, it does not.
