Perfect, so long as you know...
It was immediately clear to me that my pair had been opened by a previous customer and returned to the seller. Then, it was immediately clear that the previous customer hadn't known what they'd ordered in the first place.Packaging: Cheap as all get-out but branding is classy and wreaks of neo-Steve-Jobians.Ear tips: Well, almost as cheap as the packaging, but an excellent choice to throw a bone to those of us who are in DIRE NEED of good audio fast.Wire: Spectacular so far compared to the se215's I just came off of. So much easier to control the ear-tug with a simple bobby-pin on the back of your shirt collar. This is good audio cheap. You're paying for the in-ear monitors and that's it.//and a VERY unexpectedly good cable systemThese guys have cut costs in every conceivable place in the packing and "extras" in order to get you a great pair of in-ears for cheap.Keep it up KZ.Yeah, I

Impressive for the price point
Not a sponsored review. Literally just think these things sound great. You can hear so _much_ more.First the general response curve is perfect for casual listening. I haven't tried these as on-stage IEMs yet, but I think I'm hearing a bit of a mid-dip, which may be problematic for live performers and I'm a bit concerned about compression of the dynamic range... but for casual listening these are pretty incredible.Comparing these against my Alclair Audio Dual-XBs, which I've had custom molded for my ears. I'd say these lack the absolute rock-solid distortion free bottom end my DXBs have. However, they make up for it with an unbelievably detailed top end that my 2 driver DXBs can't match. Surprised at this!I will say these matter what you have them hooked up to. I have a headphone port on my thunderbolt dock, and it's pretty trashy and introduces a lot of distortion and loses a lot of clarity. The headphone jack on my macbook sounds significantly better.

BEST BUDGET IEMS
best budget IEMs, i love mine! it comes with different size ear pieces- they’re okay but i would recommend getting foam ear pieces if using for long periods of time! highly highly recommend these!

Amazing sound, comfortable and attractive
The very first time I put these in my ears, I thought I had wasted my money. But... you have to make sure you have the best fitting tip for quality sound. The difference between the wrong tip and the right tip are far more substantial than you'd think.I use a DAC dongle on my iPhone. I have great source material (CD quality) from my own server while out and about on my bike nearly every day. The sound is incredible. I get lost in the music. At home for 2-channel, I run a $1.5K Marantz Rcvr into a $1K Marantz amp to feed two Klipsch RP-8000 towers and 2 SPL-120 subs. I'm a pretty serious listener. But these <$100 KZ KAS IEMs give me an experience rivaling my home system. No kidding! If you're a fan of bass (and who isn't?), these provide a rich low end without the fake boomy you can get from some drivers. What's really impressive is that you can tune that bass using different IEM tips. I bought the memory foam tips and that really deepened the bass. Kinda too much. I shifted back to the silicone tips and prefer that sound and I think the silicone tips are more comfortable for long periods of listening. And they're way easier to keep clean (more important than I realized).I'm such a fan of these, I bought a second set when the left IEM stopped working. Turns out, it just needed cleaning and works like a champ again. The ear ports can get clogged, but don't buy an IEM vac. I used a plastic solder sucker to clean the ear ports.

Sounded so good...then One side stopped working
I am a musician and got these specifically to use with an In Ear Monitor system, so what I experienced might not apply to more casual use. Aesthetically they are gorgeous. They look and feel very solid and well built. Once I received them I played music through then for about 10 hours, based on some online recommendations. They sounded really great as just ear buds listening to music. But when I used them at a gig that weekend, I was in the middle of our first song and the right driver just stopped working. Luckily I had a backup pair and wasn't dead in the water. So I do some research to learn that this is a known thing. I called KZ after searching high and low for a number. The person I spoke to immediately asked in one of the drivers stopped working and suggested I try switching the cables. It worked...at least at the moment. I am guessing swapping the cable (meaning moving the right side to the left and vice versa) does some sort of reset? So with them seemingly working again, I tried them at soundcheck of my next show and not 1 minute into the soundcheck and the right driver failed again. And since this sounds like a known problem with the ZAS, I cannot risk it on another pair. Luckily Amazon helped me to return them, as all confidence is lost on them. And what a shame, because when they did work they sounded amazing! I decided to take the plunge instead on custom molded in ears. So I am giving it 1 star as a device musicians expect to work consistently, and simply doesn't.

My favorite KZ's to date!
I'm a vocalist in a touring group and I love these more than my custom ears.I've had so many sets of KZs and these are by far superior. They have the lows and the highs. Before, it seemed like you could only have one or the other, so I chose the highs. Buy missed my bass tones as I use that for my pitch.I can hear lovely clean bass, as well as nice clean vocals. Also, I find these stay in my ears, where the others I've had constantly slipped out and I was always having to adjust and push them back in.Overall, I'm very happy with these!

Great value
I really enjoy the sound of these, used for lead guitar monitoring, nice and clear, maybe lacking a bit of bass , but that is not a bad thing for guitar.

Love them
I've been using these for a few years now as drumming iems. I previously had the KZ AS10, and these sound way better. Much better high end clarity! And they've held up just fine so far.
