Works even better than custom cabinet inserts!
This is a very impressive insert. The double trash insert with soft & auto close feature along with the easy install & strong & solid trash can holder & cans makes this purchase well worth the money. We'll be adding more inserts to our kitchen and laundry from Rev-A-Shelf after this first purchase!

Space-saver, Well-built, Easy installation, Well-spent $$
Worth our $$. We wanted to save space around the kitchen and this was just the perfect solution. Easy to install with the template included. The challenge was mounting the door to it. Had a little trouble adjusting it but got it eventually. Nice aluminum construction that's well-built. My cabinet was 15" wide and 23" depth and 23" height. It's also soft close which I didn't know. We use one bin for trash and one for recycle. I would buy it again if I ever move to a new home.

One of the tracks needed to be fixed before installing.
When I opened the box, I noticed ball bearings rolling around the bottom of the box which I thought was a little odd. Come to find out one of the tracks was not properly locked into place and all of the bearings had fallen out of the track. It wasn't the most difficult thing to fix, but I couldn't find all of the bearings. Fortunately, I was replacing an identical Rev-A-Shelf and was able to harvest the needed bearings from the broken unit. Once fixed, it was very easy to install. So far it appears to be working correctly. Would give it 5 stars had it not had this issue on arrival. This fault should have been caught in the QC process of production.

I’ll buy again
The best one I’ve ever used on my cabinetry. I’m a cabinet builder and the hydraulic closure pushes then in out at halfway and pulls it back when pushed in to halway. Stays solid and tight both ways, no sliding in of falling out of the space. I’ve bought this item 4 times

Very sturdy and smooth gliding
We got sick of our old pull out garbage/recycling system when it constantly got messed up and broken and wobbly. This one was a major splurge, but it's soooo nice. I like that the bins that hold the cans are solid instead of wire. This one catches all the garbage crud so it's easier to clean out and doesn't sift down into the cabinet itself. The soft open/close mechanism is a little tight, but it has loosened up over time.

50 quarts is the way to go!
The media could not be loaded. I recently installed new kitchen cabinets and have been looking for double 50 quart slide in trash can insert to fit an 18” cabinet. Which is almost impossible and I was pretty sure I would need to custom fit it (i.e. cut my cabinet to size).I selected this more expensive insert because it has a 150lb capacity compared to nearly half that of other models. And I do not want this to break and then have to go through the hassle of installing another one in the near future. The install was simple but not easy. It requires some finesse to make the adjustments. To fit it to an 18” cabinet with a 14 7/8” opening I needed to remove the drawer and rails; and then cut an extra 3/4” off the side of my cabinet with a jigsaw as well as the horizontal support, and then color match the cut offs with three coats of furniture pen.I used push pins/thumbtacks to position the template in the bottom of the cabinet and I raised the front slightly with wedges to provide enough clearance with the bottom edge of the cabinet door frame.I went to Home Depot and purchased a 16” thick string tie to connect the drawer front and door and spaced them approx. 1/4” with a thin piece of matching filler. Before attaching this I spray painted the strong tie and screws to match the cabinet with the best quality rustoleum paint I found.Installing the door on the insert was easier than expected because there are multiple available adjustments on the mounting brackets.

Not sturdy at all
My husband and I completely demoed and redid our kitchen 100% ourselves. He works in the trades and is incredibly handy. I did a TON of research on what to get for our trash can, and this seemed like a viable option. WORST PURCHASE EVER. It is installed correctly, 100% level, adhered to the panel etc. No user error here. But the mechanism simply isn't sturdy enough. A lot of the models I looked at had the pull out part in the middle of the cabinet and the trash cans went through the slots. In hindsight this makes much more sense than having the tray at the bottom. So the tray is at the bottom, and the handle is at the top of the cabinet. When you pull open the cabinet (and the trash canister) the cabinet door almost bows because it's pulling so much weight unevenly. Hard to describe. I'll try to take pics and upload them. But just don't buy this. Don't spend $200+ on this piece of crap. I wouldn't recommend this product to ANYONE. We're stuck with it for now, but we're going to build our own system when we have time.

Great replacement worn out slides
The quality of this product is tremendous and you can feel it’s so much more substantial than my previous one, which was worn out. The installation went fairly smooth. The instructions could’ve been a little clearer, The system was different than my original so it was a little harder to orient myself while trying to visualize what it would look like when complete
