Does what it was made for.

This was dead on arrival. I bought it months ago and finally got around to use it. No lights come on. I tested the solar panel and it delivers 19 VDC and this thing does not work. I wish i could send it back. UPDATE…i had the polarity wrong. I changed it and now it works….

There is an LED on it that indicates that it's connected to the battery. That LED or something else causes the battery to drain continuously. I bought this on the 15th and tied it to an AGM battery and a 120W panel. When I started, 12.35V Came back today, 12.1V. After weeks of direct sunlight, all the indicators working fine, the battery ended up much lower than it started.

Better than the original unit that came with the panel. Only complaint is the cord remains short so if you have a Class A that requires some distance between the panel and the battery, this presents some challenges. Would be more secure and protected if I could mount the controller inside the engine compartment but the wire length prevents this. otherwise, the controller works as advertised.

Love the 10amp solar controller, easy to install. Quick connect, great size, great value. It is meant for a small solar system. Don't put big high rated solar panels to this controller it will not end well. 50w panel max is what its rated for.

This controller works great. I have it between a 100 watt flex panel on the roof of a Polaris Ranger that charges a very large extra battery that’s used to power a 3,000 watt inverter. It’s used to power large power tools out in the pasture and places where there is no power. This small very inexpensive controller has been keeping the battery at 13.9 volts down to 12.5 volts when I have heavy use. Just like auto alternator keeps your battery at around 14.2 volts when running. If someone thinks the power out is not good, that’s because it’s usually not. Power off a good battery that can handle the load and all is well. Panels produce at different rates with different conditions also. Those are not the controller’s responsibility or fault. I really am impressed with this controller. It works fantastically and I will be buying more. Very good product!!!!!

This Unit Works Pretty Good, So Far. Only Problem We Have Is When The Weather Is Around 32 Deg, When The Mounting Is Not Close To Any Heat Source. The Lights Go Out Then Come Back On When Temp Rises Above About Freezing. Now I Am Looking For A Different Unit For The Cold. Thank You For Your Time.

Simply works. Good value. Good weather seal. This relieved a more expensive but vulnerable unit of winter duty on a remote 10 watt charger. That system was set up with SAE connections back when, and this was a perfect plug and play swap. Monitor LEDs provide confirmation that the system is live.

I accidentally hooked it up backwards and before I noticed what I did, it started to smoke. I though I fryed this controller for sure but I tried it the right way and it works great. Its a tough little controller
